The purpose was to expose its conspiracy to commit depraved heart murder (DHM) against civilization (Oil-Qaeda & MOMCOM Conspire To Commit Depraved-Heart Murder, 2, 3; MOMCOM's Mass Suicide & Murder Pact, 2, 3, 4, 5).
There is no meaningful distinction between DHM and extinction, other than the fact that there is a statute of limitations on extinction (The Extinction of Charleston, ... Philadelphia, ... Washington, D.C., ... Robust Sea Ports, ... Boston, ... Miami, ... Manzanillo, ... Houston, ... Providence, ... Chesapeake Bay Islands).
Oil-Qaeda is the largest psychopathic-meme-complex in history, exhibiting all of the maladjusted behavioural characteristics of individual psychopaths, but doing so in concert as a group:
"In 1977, [Oil-Qaeda] scientists began to discuss the threat of disruptive climate change as a direct result of the burning of fossil fuels. The [private empire] launched cutting-edge research into the effects that carbon dioxide emissions would have on the climate. Based on that research, [Oil-Qaeda] scientists warned [Oil-Qaeda] leadership that carbon dioxide emissions would warm the planet, with potentially catastrophic repercussions.(The Harm Exxon Mobil Has Done, emphasis added). ExxonMobil devolved from Humble Oil-Qaeda.
Rather than accept what their own scientists were saying, top executives at [Oil-Qaeda] started a massive campaign of disinformation. By 1997, the chief executive of [Oil-Qaeda], Lee Raymond, was publicly claiming that the connection between human activities and climate change was inconclusive and uncertain. Forbes magazine wrote that Raymond “used his executive chair as a platform for espousing his disbelief in global warming.”
[Oil-Qaeda] created advertisements that contradicted its own research on global warming. The [private empire] funded the Global Climate Coalition, an organization of [criminally conspiring] companies dedicated to derailing government efforts to slash emissions from fossil fuels.
[Oil-Qaeda] also spent millions of dollars in the form of political campaign donations, lobbying fees and public relations strategies to discredit climate science and disrupt any forceful state or federal action to cut carbon dioxide emissions. The [private empire] also supported think tanks that attempted to discredit climate science and scientists.
In 2001, [Oil-Qaeda] lobbyists helped convince President George W. Bush to pull out of the Kyoto Protocol. By 2006, the [private empire] was funneling tens of millions of dollars to at least 43 organizations dedicated to discrediting climate science. [Oil-Qaeda] opposed historic climate and energy legislation such as the American Clean Energy and Security Act, also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill. The measure died in the Senate in 2009."
It does not matter which way we look at it, the bottom line is that Oil-Qaeda, through its deception, is the force of cognition that has led civilization to the brink (Civilization Is Now On Suicide Watch, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).
Regular readers know that Oil-Qaeda likes to remind us that it is "not an American company" (MOMCOM: The Private Parts, 2, 3, 4, 5).
I like to remind Oil-Qaeda that where it makes its bed does not matter, what matters is the will or lack thereof of officials charged with prosecuting crimes against the United States (Follow The Immunity, 2, 3).
The corruption of officials has been the mainstay of Oil-Qaeda, and still is to this very day.
Until that changes, extinction gets closer each day.

Tom,
DeleteGreat link.
There is an indisputable relation between SLC (SLR / SLF) and global warming.
Expecting SLR in those places is what sane people do (even if the amounts of SLR at those locations will vary some).
i'm following you on the on-going development and implications of your model, Dredd.
ReplyDelete(i'm sure Randy and) i support you all the way.
Global climate in context as the world approaches 1°C above pre-industrial for the first time
http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2015/11/global-climate-in-context-as-world.html
[quote]
One third of sea-level rise
Some aspects of the Earth system take longer than surface temperature to respond to greenhouse gas forcing. For example, global mean sea-level adjusts over a longer period and therefore lags behind changes in temperature. Over the period 1901-2010 global mean sea level rose by around 20cm and has been rising by about 3mm a year since the early 1990s4. If we consider emission pathways that aim to limit warming to 2°C, then we have seen only about one-third of the eventual sea level rise that could be realised by 2100.
It is also virtually certain, according to IPCC AR55, that 2100 will not be the peak of sea-level rise and that levels will continue to rise beyond this date given the amounts of greenhouse gases already emitted. This means that current levels could be as little as one-fifth of the eventual sea-level rise associated with a 2°C world. This has implications at regional levels and will lead to more frequent flooding from storm surges6, other impacts such as coastal erosion, and displacement of populations from low-lying regions.

Thanks for finally writing about >"The Harm Oil-Qaeda Has Done" <Loved it!
ReplyDeleteKeep on writing, great job!
ReplyDeleteOil-Qaeda at work: "The February 2019 report states that the misappropriation of oil sales was a concern before the conflict began, but in the eyes of the United Nations, Nile Petroleum’s lack of transparency and allegiance with the National Security Services make it apparent that the oil company is funding the war and its crimes against humanity committed by the South Sudanese government. However, Nile Petroleum is not alone — oil companies from Malaysia, China and India continue to work with Nile through partnerships. This leaves executives of Nile Petroleum, and potentially other international oil firms, vulnerable to international and possible domestic criminal liability for aiding and abetting war crimes or crimes against humanity." ReplyDeleteExcellent post however I was wondering if you could write a litte
ReplyDeletemore on this subject? I'd be very thankful if you could elaborate
a little bit further. Many thanks!
