Some years back during this series I suspected that tornado count would go down as the Polar Vortex went through some disintegration (On The Origin of Tornadoes, 2, 3, 4, 5).
Unfortunately, the large tornado-per-year count is back, as was suspected in a previous post of this series in 2015: "The way things are going in the Arctic, in the next year or so we may see the number of tornadoes going back up" (On The Origin of Tornadoes - 7).
For the past couple of years now, in the Arctic area the Bering Sea has not been freezing over, resulting its historical sea ice cover (Mysterious Zones of The Arctic - 7).
So, I guess you can say that I am a believer that Damaged Climate System conditions in the Arctic have an impact on U.S. tornado counts, and the evidence on record supports that notion.
We can expect that to continue, because, among other things Greenland is looking to have a record breaking ice sheet mass loss this year according to Dr. Jason Box (see video below).
We don't hear much about the history of the Rus people.
They are the ancestors of modern day Russia.
We hear mostly about their current totalitarian leader, who, if he was a democratic type of leader like those in England, Germany, or other such countries, our current wanna-be totalitarian president would not like him (The Shape Shifters Of Bullshitistan - 19).
Our current wanna-be totalitarian president says he loves another totalitarian who just executed his envoy to the US (USA Today), and covers for a 'prince of a man' who caused the death of a U.S. resident journalist (Awe Topsy - 4).
II. Typical "Wee The People" Dynamics
Our forefathers came from the same secular womb that all efforts toward a government by the people emerge from, instead of a government lording it over the people (Wee The People, 2, 3).
The Rus' people have also been through all of that over the centuries:

In the following decades, reform efforts such as the Stolypin reforms, the constitution of 1906, and the State Duma attempted to open and liberalize the economy and political system, but the tsars refused to relinquish autocratic rule or share their power. The Russian Revolution in 1917 was triggered by a combination of economic breakdown, war-weariness, and discontent with the autocratic system of government. It initially brought to power a coalition of liberals and moderate socialists, but their failed policies led to seizure of power by the communist Bolsheviks on 25 October. Between 1922 and 1991, the history of Russia is essentially the history of the Soviet Union, effectively an ideologically based state which was roughly conterminous with the Russian Empire before the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. The approach to the building of socialism, however, varied over different periods in Soviet history, from the mixed economy and diverse society and culture of the 1920s to the command economy and repressions of the Joseph Stalin era to the "era of stagnation" in the 1980s. From its first years, government in the Soviet Union was based on the one-party rule of the Communists, as the Bolsheviks called themselves, beginning in March 1918."
(Culture of Ancient Rus). It is interesting that "The Vikings" also had a part in the formation of the early governments of English speaking peoples:
"For Britain however was reserved the second invading wave. It came from the North. In Scandinavia the Vikings fitted out their long-boats for sea. This double assault by Arab infidels and Nordic pirates distracted the weakened life of Europe for ten generations. It was not until the eleventh century that the steel-clad feudalism of medieval Christendom, itself consisting largely of the converted descendants of the Vikings, assigned limits to the Arab conquests, and established at the side of the Christian Church ample and effective military power."
(Churchill, A History of the English Speaking Peoples, p. 71). All peoples have struggled with oppressive governments and have eventually, in common, failed for the most part:

That something is the dementia that produces and ends up in suicide:
"In other words, a society does not ever die 'from natural causes', but always dies from suicide or murder --- and nearly always from the former, as this chapter has shown."
(A Study of History, by Arnold J. Toynbee). There is no cure for the final symptom of that group dementia, there is only prevention by way of avoiding it altogether in the first place.
The components of that group dementia were pointed out in an encyclopedia piece concerning that historian quoted above:
"In the Study Toynbee examined the rise and fall of 26 civilizations in the course of human history, and he concluded that they rose by responding successfully to challenges under the leadership of creative minorities composed of elite leaders. Civilizations declined when their leaders stopped responding creatively, and the civilizations then sank owing to the sins of nationalism, militarism, and the tyranny of a despotic minority. Unlike Spengler in his The Decline of the West, Toynbee did not regard the death of a civilization as inevitable, for it may or may not continue to respond to successive challenges. Unlike Karl Marx, he saw history as shaped by spiritual, not economic forces" ...
(Encyclopedia Britannica, emphasis added). The show stopper, in terms of remedy, in this type of group dementia is that it is a contagious dementia.
(How To Identify The Despotic Minority). Like the seemingly endless struggle for a civilized government of, by, and for the people, a seemingly endless emergence of a despotic minority is always at the door.
III. The Common Good
The founders of the United States expressed the desire of people everywhere to have a common chance to go through life without oppression and to experience the common good (The Common Good, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).
Nothing has changed in that regard, or in the counter struggles to enslave the peoples of the world.
Russia, America, China, Europe, Asia, The North, The South, The East, and The West all have that in common.

The lowest bar is to call day night, to call love hate, to call left right, to call unAmerican patriotism, and to call lies truth.
Former FBI Director and Special Counsel Mueller pointed out that "The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion. Evidence of Russian government operations began to surface in mid-2016" (Mueller Report, p. 1; p. 9 PDF).
The record is not foggy on this point as TIME points out in a recent article concerning events beyond trolling and advertisements on social media:
"... that Trump and at least 17 of his campaign officials and advisors had more than 100 contacts between Trump associates and Russians,
"I had nothing to do with
Russia helping me to get elected"
belying the campaign’s November 2016 claim that 'there was no communication between the campaign and any foreign entity during the campaign.' According to reporting, many others associated with Trump were told about contacts with Russian-linked individuals. Here is a list of all of the times that Trump associates interacted with Russia from the early days of the 2016 election cycle to Trump’s inauguration ..."
(TIME, "the twittah", emphasis added). Major league interaction between members of a U.S. presidential election campaign ("Tweeter") and a hostile foreign government ("Monkey Man") is in and of itself not a traditional American election practice (e.g. candidate Al Gore's campaign was once confronted that way and immediately informed the FBI).
Lying about those contacts and interactions repeatedly was the Trump Campaign's ("Tweeter") response during the campaign (TIME quote above), which is in and of itself either a suspicious wrong or a felony, depending on who is being lied to.
Lying over 10,000 times from that time until now, is grounds for an impeachment inquiry in and of itself in a normal country.
And when an administration's attorney general has the low barr fever, well, it is not normal shall we say.
Many of those lies were by underlings while under oath or talking to federal investigators ("Jan's brother") such that some were indicted for that by grand juries, some were convicted, some served jail time, and some are awaiting sentencing.
That an impeachment inquiry should begin to find out why all that major league lying was done to cover up the interaction with a hostile foreign power is a slam dunk, no-brainer reason for an impeachment inquiry.
On Morning Joe (MSNBC) yesterday Allan Lichtman, the Professor who has accurately predicted every US Presidential election since 1984, indicated that the 2020 presidential election will be lost to democrats if the impeachment inquiry is NOT commenced soon.
We shall see (“I have no final verdict yet because much could change during the next year” - Allan Lichtman).
On another front, if Israel is a normal country then its recent election can be an example of why.

"The press is the enemy of the people" in North Korea, China, Russia, The Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and other right-wing authoritarian countries (How To Identify The Despotic Minority, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).
The authoritarian right wing president of the USA has the same Orwellian, wrong headed opinion.
He speaks evil of fellow Americans in concert with mass murdering North Korean "ideological lover Kimmy."
His current corrupt leader of the Department of Just Us (DOJ) has evidently cleared the way for Robert Swan Mueller III (RSM III) to speak briefly at the newly evolved Department of Hoaxes (DOH), but to take no questions afterwards, thus, today among other things we will see how much Tweeter has perverted, or not, RSM III.
In other words, we may see whether or not the two years of public criticism, obstruction, and character assassination of the Special Counsel has taken down yet another official.
We already know that it has taken down many American minds who now support Professor Cruel of Trump University (High Percent of GOP Support Trump).
Some say that the atmosphere is the place to look for information when studying Ocean Heat Content (OHC) and/or Ocean Heat Flux (e.g. On Resplandy Et Alia (2018) - 2).
That is a bit unusual, like studying the lungs to find out about the heart, because actually it is a better practice to study the ocean directly or use the World Ocean Database (WOD) to find out about the oceans (The Appendix of Vestigial Textbooks).
Concerning the 'blob' ... one paper asserts:
"The marine heat wave was first noted over deep waters of the northeastern Pacific Ocean in January 2014 ... anomalous temperatures at coastal GOA

stations arrived variously between January and June. Warm temperature anomalies were confined to the top 100 meters until late 2014, after which they penetrated to depths of 300 meters and reached strengths greater than 2 standard deviations ... The consensus of previous studies is that atmospheric circulation anomalies played a key role initiating and maintaining the North Pacific 'blob' of warm water"
(Walsh et alia, 2018). Using WOD in situ data in the zones shown in Fig. 1 puts some shade on that proclamation.

After converting in situ temperature measurements (T) recorded in the WOD into Conservative Temperature (CT), using the TEOS-10 toolbox, and then looking at the subsurface CT trends, it is apparent that warming has taken place prior to the years asserted in Walsh et alia 2018.
That subsurface warming has continued, and in fact in recent years one could say it has gotten worse because the Bering Sea sea ice has not developed for two seasons now.

This warming flow of the N. Pacific Current sea water into the Gulf of Alaska via the Alaska Current has been happening under the covers, so to speak, for longer than the atmosphere above the covers would suggest.

III. How To Study The Blob
A. Skim The Surface
The researchers who are studying the atmosphere in order to study the oceanic phenomenon nicknamed "the Blob" are "going around the barn" (Fig. 1).
It seems to me that studying the hot pool of water in, at, and/or near the Great Pacific Garbage Patch would be a more natural beginning (New Continent Found - Garbage Gyre II).
Like the black soot on glaciers and ice sheets that is said to be a collector of heat by impairing albedo, thereby melting the icy surface it lands upon (Dark Snow).
The plastic and other garbage will warm as photons from the Sun are absorbed, then emit those photons into the cooler seawater around them.
The fact that recently, without the 'blob', the Bering Sea surface has lost its typical, natural winter sea ice cover is also instructive (Mysterious Zones of The Arctic - 2).
Still, observing those surface phenomena where the atmosphere contacts the ocean surface is only skimming the surface.
We should know by now that subsurface sea water is warmer than the surface water temperatures below and beyond the blobosphere latitudes and longitudes, so, where to next?
The Conservative Temperature spikes can be seen in the "DNA" patterns at the Epipelagic (0 - 200 meters), Mesopelagic (201 - 1000 meters), and Bathypelagic (1001 - 4000 meters) depths shown in the graphs.
(In some cases the graphs show only one pelagic depth because of sea ice cover or shallowness of the ocean near the coastline.)
The WOD Zones which the graphs depict are shown in Fig. 1.
There is also a "Legend" with colored squares indicating the peaks in CT calculated using in situ measurements and the TEOS-10 toolbox.
Each WOD Zone in the "blobosphere" is outlined in blue on Fig. 1 and can have a maximum of three small squares (indicating CT peak info).
The small squares indicate the depths of the peak CT values shown in the list of zones in Section II above.
The real story is that neither the Great Pacific Garbage Patch nor atmospheric temperatures over the surface of the N. Pacific can explain the CT spikes at up to 4,000 meters deep.
There is a movement of subsurface warming water, caused by OHC (i.e. "Potential Enthalpy" or hO) which can be tracked reasonably using CT.
IV. Other Research
Other research shows that the warmer waters at serious depths flow through the Bering Sea up through the Bering Strait and into the Chukchi Sea.
From there they flow eastward into the Beaufort Gyre to be mixed with deep, warming Atlantic waters (Mysterious Zones of The Arctic, 2, 3).
This is not in any way the result of atmospheric dynamics, nor even of ocean surface dynamics alone.
Serious deep ocean currents and heat flux (OHF) are at work all the way to 'the last ice area' near the N. Greenland coastline (Mysterious Zones of The Arctic - 2).
These currents are a lot like the serious deep ocean currents and OHF at work around the coastlines of Antarctica (Mysterious Zones of Antarctica, 2, 3, 4).
Their mindless mission is to change our existing law, which is:
"Based on respected scientific opinion that a well-documented rise in global temperatures and attendant climatological and environmental changes have resulted from a significant increase in the atmospheric concentration of “greenhouse gases,” a group of private organizations petitioned the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to begin regulating the emissions of four such gases, including carbon dioxide, under §202(a)(1) of the Clean Air Act, which requires that the EPA “shall by regulation prescribe . . . standards applicable to the emission of any air pollutant from any class . . . of new motor vehicles . . . which in [the EPA Administrator’s] judgment cause[s], or contribute[s] to, air pollution . . . reasonably . . . anticipated to endanger public health or welfare,” 42 U. S. C. §7521(a)(1). The Act defines “air pollutant” to include “any air pollution agent . . . , including any physical, chemical . . . substance . . . emitted into . . . the ambient air.” §7602(g). EPA ultimately denied the petition, reasoning that (1) the Act does not authorize it to issue mandatory regulations to address global climate change, and (2) even if it had the authority to set greenhouse gas emission standards, it would have been unwise to do so at that time because a causal link between greenhouse gases and the increase in global surface air temperatures was not unequivocally established. ... Massachusetts and other state and local governments, sought review in the D. C. Circuit [... which held...] that the EPA Administrator properly exercised his discretion in denying the rulemaking petition. ...
[Supreme Court Conclusion:]The judgment of the Court of Appeals is reversed, and the case is remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion."
