Human DNA Found In 2-3 Mya eDNA? - 4

What up?

I. Preface

In the post "On The Origin of Genieology" a lot of the problems discussed were recognized as resulting from holding on to pseudoscience of the past.

A lot of that is due to loose nomenclature practices as well as the gigantic size of the genetic data available (which makes studying genetic hypotheses a daunting task).

For example, in this current series human DNA is formidable in terms of gigabytes of data, but is dwarfed by the size of the eDNA data from the Greenland eDna research (A 2-million-year-old ecosystem in Greenland uncovered by environmental DNA).

To start with, I searched current human DNA for current animal DNA of animals the paper estimates were contained in that ancient Greenlan ecosystem eDNA (see Section III below).

II. FNA Files

Each one of those one thousand some odd number of files is a FASTA (".fasta") file with a separate list of DNA nucleotides ("ACTG's") which make up a separate set of Tataboxes containing a list of "start-codon" to "stop-codon" strands.

III.  Human Segments / Animal Segments?

So far in this series I have processed only nine of the compressed FNA (".fna.gz") files, which contain over a million such speculated eDNA Greenland strands EACH.

But the search is worth it because the question asked by the title of this series is important: "Human DNA Found In 2-3 Mya eDNA?".

So, on to the next nine files because if in fact there were hominins in that Greenland ecosystem way back when, it should be known eh?

In other words, if those animal DNA segments are also in human DNA segments now, shouldn't we search for them in eDNA from way back then?
