| An old list |
As was pointed out in the previous post of this series, "interesting" "human" eDNA was recovered in Greenland (A 2-million-year-old ecosystem in Greenland uncovered by environmental DNA).
So I wondered (or wandered) into the realm of "deep query" to ask "got any 'human' DNA in there?"
Then it "came to my mind" what Dr. Bassler had said about me and my "compadres" ("I know you think of yourselves as human, but I think of you as 90 or 99% bacteria" ... Quantum Biology - 6).
Naturally I thought "cars have fenders, Ford fenders, Chevrolet fenders, Dodge finders, which means they are the same but they are also different, eh?" ... and morphed quickly into ... so, the match of "human eDNA" in "non-human eDNA" is similar?
So, are those genes that make "fingernails" in both human and non-human species, for millions of years, being grouped together like fenders (excluding the fender guitar - see video below)?
But I digress.
I used another file in the list of files provided by the Greenland Researchers (here) which produced this episode of me and mySQL (HDNA apndx 1).
The previous post in this series is here.
