There Is Stuff Underground Out Of Sight

Even history sometimes can have the "same difference" syndrome:

Secretary of State Colin Powell was the Bush administration official who infamously testified before the UN Security Council about Iraq's alleged possession of nuclear weapons. In February 2003, Powell presented evidence, based on US intelligence, to support the claim that Iraq was developing weapons of mass destruction. This presentation included information from reconnaissance photos, maps, and intercepted phone conversations, according to NPR. The claim about Iraq's nuclear program was a key justification used by the Bush administration to go to war. However, subsequent investigations revealed that the intelligence used to support these claims was flawed or inaccurate.

Even Bigger Stuff Is Underground

The current version is different from the previous version in that the current "Intelligence Community" has not claimed what Hegseth and Trump claim:

"U.S. intelligence agencies continue to believe that Iran has yet to decide whether to make a nuclear bomb even though it has developed a large stockpile of the enriched uranium necessary for it to do so, according to intelligence and other American officials.

That assessment has not changed since the intelligence agencies last addressed the question of Iran’s intentions in March, the officials said, even as Israel has attacked Iranian nuclear facilities.

Senior U.S. intelligence officials said that Iranian leaders were likely to shift toward producing a bomb if the American military attacked the Iranian uranium enrichment site Fordo or if Israel killed Iran’s supreme leader."

(NY Times). The truth has been told by officials in times past, but it doesn't agree with either version set forth above:

Our invisible governors are, in many cases, unaware of the identity of their fellow members in the inner cabinet.

"We create reality for you"

They govern us by their qualities of natural leadership, their ability to supply needed ideas and by their key position in the social structure. Whatever attitude one chooses to take toward this condition, it remains a fact that in almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons — a trifling fraction of our hundred and twenty [now 320] million — who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind, who harness old social forces and contrive new ways to bind and guide the world.
