Awe Topsy - 6

What Happened?
There have been 2,000 "mass shootings" from September 29, 2018 to May 24, 2022 (Gun Violence Archive).

Only Hawaii, Vermont  and North Dakota had no mass shootings (four or more deaths/injuries caused by a shooter with a firearm).

The other forty-seven states and the federal government administrations, as well as the congress and courts, are treating the effect instead of the cause (Are You Simply Treating Your Symptoms?).

The following HTML table covers the mass shootings state by state, in most populated state down to least populated state order:

Column meanings:

number killed: number of state's people killed by gunfire
number injured: number of state's people injured by gunfire
% of US population: state's percent of US population
% of US injured: state percent compared to US percent
% of US killed: state percent compared to US percent
Note: numbers in bold indicate that the state shooting percent
exceeds the nationwide shooting percent.
