Is The Empress Taking Off Her Clothes? - 2

The "clothing" metaphor means the constitution and laws of an empire, as we pointed out in the first post of this series Is The Empress Taking Off Her Clothes?

In that post the weakening of the U.S. Constitution is the empress taking off her clothes.

In that post we compared this metaphor to a person, an individual, taking off their clothes when they are freezing to death, even though such behavior is exactly the opposite of what common sense would dictate.

But as professionals know, as we pointed out in that post , the mysterious and inexplicable "norm" is for individuals to take off their clothing when they are in the final phase of freezing to death.

In this current post today, the specific event we are using as a backdrop for this extension of the metaphor is the new attack on Internet free speech and freedom of expression.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has become the lap-dog or rubber stamp of the communication companies (one of the M's in MOMCOM), as AT&T leads the way:
For the first time in history of telecommunications law the FCC has given its stamp of approval to online discrimination.

Instead of a rule to protect Internet users' freedom to choose, the Commission has opened the door for broadband payola - letting phone and cable companies charge steep tolls to favor the content and services of a select group of corporate partners, relegating everyone else to the cyber-equivalent of a winding dirt road.

Instead of protecting openness on wireless Internet devices like the iPhone and Droid, the Commission has exempted the mobile Internet from Net Neutrality protections. This move enshrines Verizon and AT&T as gatekeepers to the expanding world of mobile Internet access, allowing them to favor their own applications while blocking, degrading or de-prioritizing others.
(Obama FCC Caves On Net Neutrality, Huffington Post). This is the first shot fired across the bow of "the blogosphere" which challenges the propaganda flow from MOMCOM.

It seems like the Obama Administration, like those before it, functions like the classic Trojan Horse more often than not, which is becoming the new "norm" as the empire goes into full on burlesque mode.

In the U.S.A., now deep into this Criminal Epoch, during elections the people are offered a panoply of goodies packaged as a gift Trojan Horse, but when the election is over the band of Judas emulators enter the White House and Congress, then soon all manner of burlesque begins once again.

The next post in this series is here, the previous post in this series is here.

  1. Attorney general worries about home-grown terror
    (AP) – 1 hour ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General Eric Holder says he's worried about terrorist attacks on the U.S. by Americans. And high on his list of concerns is the threat posed by anti-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen believed to be hiding in Yemen.

Holder says al-Awlaki has a familiarity with the U.S. that terrorists usually lack. He says he puts him on the list of people who worry him the most, along with al-Qaida head Osama bin Laden, but adds, "Whether he's one, two, three, four, I don't know."

In an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America," Holder said the terrorism threat is real and constant. He says he's concerned that the authorities may have missed a signal that an attack is coming.

He says Americans have to be prepared for "potentially bad news."

Hmm... Nothing to get them poll numbers up again like another false flag staged terrorist event. MOMCOM/The Beast. ALL fear, ALL of the time! All this from a guy who took a pass on prosecuting the real war criminals when he had the chance. Sorry Holder, NoBama, et al. Not buying your line of crap ANYMORE!

I'm only surprised that this took as long as it did. You had to know that this internet stuff was gonna be put under lock and key as soon as the real money started flowing and/or the stuff that was flowing started to pose too much danger to the ones allowing it to flow.

It'll get much worse under the "small government" Repubes to be sure, but at least we know now that the dems are cut from the same bolt of cloth. Net neutrality is really a money issue at heart, and that is most assuredly one issue that crosses all party lines!

  3. On a lighter note, in today's REALLY important news, Bret Michaels: Being Engaged Feels Awesome.

What can you say? Rock stars - especially aging drug era ones - were never known for their key insights into life. This as Sammy Hagar plays another reunion tour set on the 101 (Direct TV) (I Can't Drive 55 anyone?) in the background. Ahh, the simple mindless pleasures of American culture!

Someone hand me the bottle! I think I'm going to need it.

  4. The NoBama administration and the press are lumping the tax cut bill in with DADT and START as "victories" prior to the recess and seating of a new congress. Just two weeks ago the tax cut bill was a virtual existential crisis for the dems. Now history has already been whitewashed, and the bill, which Biden has vowed to fight in 2012, has magically been transformed to a "victory." It's a Festivus miracle! Nothing like the power of marketing, especially with the active collusion of a lap dog press.

I can just imagine the gaggle of staff in some Whitehouse backroom watching the political tote board keeping track of wins and losses. That's the core issue with this guy. He has such a shallow view of politics as some sort of sports contest that he doesn't even realize that there's real issues being bargained away like so many draft choices to be named later. He's a craven opportunist with no sense whatsoever of right or wrong, just win or lose. In short, he's a perfect Wall Streeter, which is where he'll probably end up after his current scam runs its course at our expense.
