Bye bye blackbird |
"This series is about the autopsy of elections" following what various reporters celebrated "New Orleans style" as a big win for the nation:
"Portions of the media have praised the voters for saving democracy by keeping the Democrats in charge of the Senate, but seem to not take note of the fact that the Democrats lost the house ("by a very small margin").
The loss of the House is a major event, because the government budget begins there, continuation of government paychecks and funding can be stopped there, and Bengazi / Hunter Biden, and other significant events take place there (such as not going along with the Senate in legislation events).
Of course if they get too wacky the Democratic controlled Senate will not take up their bills, nor will the Democratic President sign their crazy stuff.
Nevertheless, the election denying, abortion denying, and gerrymandering Supreme Court and House can cause a world of hurt."
(Awe Topsy - 7). And just now, "The House" just voted to oust the "Speaker" because, just because (McCarthy becomes the first speaker ever to be ousted from the job in a House vote).
But, as usual it remains up to the one-out-of-three people in the populace that knows the U.S. Constitution provides for three branches of government, not just two (awesome eh?).
It is really awe topsy around here now (Awe Topsy - 5).
The next post in this series is here, the previous post in this series is here.
Ode to McCarthy ism:
On MSNBC's "Morning Joe" this morning Mr. Scarborough mentioned that this House action involved "half" of the U.S. Government. That statement by Joe implies that there are two branches of the U.S. Government, which underscores the post's assertion that "it remains up to the one-out-of-three people in the populace that knows the U.S. Constitution provides for three branches of government, not just two". A closer description of the House Republican groups activity would be "an abortion" after nine months.
