Can't remember anything at all Flamed trees lie in the streets
Can't remember anything at all
But I'm driving my car down to Geneva
I've been sitting in my basement patio
Aye, it was hot
Up above, girls walk past, roses all in bloom
Have you ever heard about the Higgs Boson blues
I'm goin' down to Geneva baby, gonna teach it to you
Who cares, who cares what the future brings?
Black road long and I drove and drove
Came upon a crossroad
The night was hot and black
I see Robert Johnson
With a ten dollar guitar strapped to his back
Lookin' for a tune
Well here comes Lucifer
With his cannon law And a hundred black babies runnin' from his genocidal Joe
He got the real killer groove
Robert Johnson and the devil man
Don't know who's gonna rip off who Driving my car, flame trees on fire
Sitting and singin' the Higgs Boson blues
I'm tired, I'm lookin' for a spot to drop
All the clocks have stopped in Memphis now
And in the rain motel it's hot, it's hot
That's why they call it the Hot Spot
I take a room with a view
Hear a man preaching in a language that's completely new, yeah
Making the hot cocks in the flop house bleed
While the cleaning ladies sob into their mops
And the bell ho-hops and bops
A shot rings out to a spiritual groove Everybody bleeding, to the Higgs Boson blues
And if I die now
Bury me in my favorite yellow patent leather shoes
With a mummified cat, and a hat
That the Caliphate forced on the Jews
Can you feel my heartbeat, can you feel my heartbeat
Hannah Montana, does the African savannah, as the simulated rainy season begins
She curses the cue with the Zulu
And moves onto Amazonia, cries with the dolphins
Mau mau ate the pygmy, the pygmy ate the monkey
The monkey has a gift that keeps sending back to you
Look, here comes the missionary, with his smallpox and flu
He's saving them savages, with his Higgs Boson blues
I'm driving my car down to Geneva
I'm driving my car down to Geneva
Aw, let the damn day break
Rainy days always make me sad
Miley Cyrus floats in a swimming pool in Taluka Lake
And you're the best girl I ever had
Can't remember anything at all

Alright
Electric Light Orchestra
The gold verandah in the dark has gone
down to the metal man.
No better time to leave the ground
And maybe try to understand.
You gotta hold on to somethin' that you believe,
Hold on to somethin' that makes you feel alright.
And through the darkest times of your life
You always tried to be the one,
And now the times have made you wonder
If you ever knew what was goin' on.
You gotta hold on to somethin' that you believe,
Hold on to somethin' that makes you feel alright....
Alright, alright, alright, alright, alright.
Alright ... alright ... alright
No use thinkin' about what you ain't got,
Just makes you bitter.
And as you speak, everything that you say
Goes out on the big transmitter.
You gotta hold on to somethin' that you believe,
Hold on to somethin' that makes you feel alright....
Alright, alright, alright, alright, alright.
You gotta hold on to somethin' that you believe,
Hold on to somethin' that makes you feel alright....
The main concern I have had is that the understudied source of communication in those realms is likely an aspect of quantum mechanics, or more precisely photonic (wireless) communication.
But writing notes then putting them into a bottle then casting them into the "ocean" is not efficient enough for bacterial community communication needs.
I have hinted that there is likely a far more advanced method of communication, at the cellular level, involving quanta:
It is well accepted that all objects, whether living or nonliving,
are continuously generating electromagnetic fields (EMFs) due to the
thermal agitation of their particles that possess charges.
Interest in EMFs as alternative forms of cell-to-cell communication can
be traced back to at least the second decade of the 20th century.
Interactions between EMFs and biosystems have been intensively studied
for over a century and a quantitative understanding of many interaction
mechanisms exists, There is much evidence that biological
processes can be induced or modulated by induction of light of
characteristic frequencies.
Recently, distant interactions between mammalian cells through EMF coupling have been shown. Distant (non-chemical) interaction in biosystems is not limited to interactions at the cellular level. Biosystem interaction has been reported at the level of plants, insects and other biosystems.
In 1997 Cosic proposed that there is a resonant interaction between
macromolecules that plays an essential role in their bioactivity. The
key point of Cosic's finding is the assignment of specific spectral
electromagnetic (EM) characteristics of proteins to their specific
biological function. Proteins with common biological functionality are
known to share one significant peak, called the Consensus Frequency,
which is acknowledged to represent the region responsible for the
biological functionality. Bio-molecules with the same biological
characteristics recognize and bio-attach to themselves when their
valence electrons oscillate and then reverberate in an electromagnetic
field. Protein interactions can be considered as resonant energy
transfer between the interacting molecules. In simple words each
protein and biomolecule has its fingerprint electromagnetic
characteristics that can be used for its identification. In
living systems long-range electromagnetic fields exchange messages
across a distance because of matching emissions and absorption spectra. Non-resonating, unwanted random signals are excluded simply because they do not resonate. ...
The chemical mode of communication [between and among microbes] is the best studied of all. Nevertheless, bacteria also use electromagnetic signals as part of sophisticated signaling [systems]
that function over distances that are substantially larger than
cellular dimensions (which are the order of one to a few micrometers).
The following descriptions focus mainly on the investigations in the
area of electromagnetically mediated communication of microorganisms.
Research into the electromagnetically mediated communication of
microbes started immediately after the discovery of mitogenetic
radiation (MR) by Alexander Gurvitch in the 1920s. His observation stimulated early research, which led to over 500 publications on the ability of information exchange by means of electromagnetic fields between micro-organisms.
There's colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin' their feet
People sleepin' in their shoes
But there's a warnin' sign
on the road ahead
There's a lot of people sayin'
we'd be better off dead
Don't feel like Satan,
but I am to them
So I try to forget it,
any way I can.
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.
I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away,
and she's gone to get a hit
She hates her life,
and what she's done to it
There's one more kid
that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love,
never get to be cool.
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.
We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores
and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes
for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people,
says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn,
got roads to drive.
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.

I am still hard at work on the C++ version of Teos-10.
It is a wrapper in the sense that I use the C version as the foundation.
That is, the C version is the testing criteria for the C++ version.
Epipelagic Depths
The methods/member functions of the C++ classes/objects must return the same values as the C functions of the C version.
I have accomplished that phase.
Mesopelagic Depths
The C++ version has been used on the World Ocean Database (WOD) in situ measurements and that came out well.
I have added some graphs that show the matching proportion in TEOS-10 concepts as generated by the C++ library.
Bathypelagic Depths
Notice that proportion matches in the Conservative Temperature (CT), Potential Enthalpy (hO) a.k.a. "Ocean Heat Content", and the infrared photon quantity (mol).
Regular readers will remember that concept as detailed in a Dredd Blog series (The Ghost Photons, 2, 3).
Any way, the matching pattern in those three show the fidelity of TEOS-10 in that the patterns, ratios, and synchronization holds up.
It does not match the Absolute Salinity (SA) because SA is not a proportional factor in Ocean Heat Content.
Abyssopelagic Depths
An official of the TEOS-10 realm said that the C++ version will be placed on their website and on GitHub.
When that takes place I will be getting back to regular "programming" here.
But I am in the process of porting the TEOS-10 toolbox (C Programming Language version) into the C++ Programming language.
I am in the testing phase now.
So far so good.
The testing (comparing results of the C version to the C++ version) is exact out to a lot of decimal places on some high profile programs that process World Ocean Database data using data from all WOD zones.
Note this:
"C++ is the language which is used everywhere but mainly in systems programming and embedded systems. Here system programming means for developing the operating systems or drivers that interface with Hardware. Embedded system means things that are automobiles, robotics, and appliances. C++ is having higher or rich community and developers, which helps in the easy hiring of developers and online solutions easily.
Uses of C++ is referred to as the safest language because of its security and features. It is the first language for any developer to start, who is interested in working in programming languages. It is easy to learn, as it is pure concept based language. Its syntax is very simple, which makes it easy to write or develop and errors can be easily replicated. Before using any other language, programmers preferred to learn C++ first and then they used other languages. But most of the developers try to stick with C++ only because of its wide variety of usage and compatibility with multiple platforms and software."
So far I have ported about 20,000 lines of code which compiles into about a 7 meg shared library (".so" in Linux).
What will I do with it?
Ship it to TEOS or Github perhaps, or put it on CD's for readers.
We shall see.
I have finished the basic library which does the basic processing of in situ measurements (temperature, salinity, depth, latitude, and longitude) and their conversion into Conservative Temperature (CT), Absolute Salinity (SA), pressure P, and Potential Enthalpy (hO).
That allows a whole ocean of potential in itself.
The next extension of the library will deal with ICE.
The charges against our culture's typical national hero ("one who served in the military") for allegedly harboring demented assassination plots against "the enemies of duh people" so far are met with crickets in the right wing arena.
This is all true according to the prescient observations of an astute observer who was fully woke:
"It is forbidden to kill therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets."
(Voltaire). This is not all that Voltaire had to say:
"Voltaire was a versatile and prolific writer, producing works in almost every literary form, including plays, poems, novels, essays and historical and scientific works. He wrote more than 20,000 letters and more than 2,000 books and pamphlets. He was an outspoken advocate of civil liberties, despite the risk this placed him in under the strict censorship laws of the time. As a satirical polemicist, he frequently made use of his works to criticize intolerance, religious dogma and the ... institutions of his day."
(Wikipedia). The gist of it is that he struggled against the despotic minority of his day, noting in his own words that you would not find them in the ghettos, rather, you would find them in the White House, the Congress, the Judiciary, the Military, the Police Forces, the Money Media, and other harbors of power (About Toxins Of Power).
In the previous posts of this series it was pointed out that "the tyranny of a despotic minority" is one of the dynamics that brought down twenty-six previous civilizations (How To Identify The Despotic Minority).
II. Denial Is Not Intellect
The minority in this sense is a number that is smaller than the number associated with the majority.
There are many such numbers, because there are many minorities, but the despotic minority is identified by its cruelty ("tyranny"), and its chosen location within the society it is bringing down.
By "chosen location" I mean the locations identified above: "the White House, the Congress, the Judiciary, the Military, the Police Forces, the Money Media, and other harbors of power".
I say that because the despotic minority is a minority that has surreptitiously learned how to wiggle and slime into positions of power to the point of being able to wield more power than the majority.
For a recent example, have you noticed the metamorphosis that is taking place in the U.S. Senate and the White House?
It is the devolution into the despotic minority.
The source of that disintegration has been detected by modern cognitive science:
"Beyond such internal mechanisms of variation, environment-driven plasticity lends yet another layer of complexity to the brain. The brain is capable of remarkable remodeling in response to experience. Signals originating from the environment can cause both widespread and localized adaptations. At the level of individual cells, structure and function are continually changing with the environment in a dance of lifelong brain plasticity, and some experiences, such as stress or physical exercise, affect the growth, survival, and fate of newborn neurons in neurogenic regions of the brain. ... Traditionally, cells are defined by the tissue to which they belong as well as their particular functional role or morphology. This classification represents a developmental trajectory that begins early in embryogenesis and is hardwired into each cell. But other differences among cells are more subtle. Multi-dimensional analyses of gene expression and other metrics have revealed remarkable heterogeneity among cells of the same traditional “type.” Cells exist in different degrees of maturation, activation, plasticity, and morphology. Once we begin to consider all of the subtle cell-to-cell variations, it becomes clear that the number of cell types is much greater than ever imagined. In fact, it may be more appropriate to place some cells along a continuum rather than into categories at all. ... Brain cells in particular may be as unique as the people to which they belong. This genetic, molecular, and morphological diversity of the brain leads to functional variation that is likely necessary for the higher-order cognitive processes that are unique to humans. Such mosaicism may have a dark side, however. Although neuronal diversification is normal, it is possible that there is an optimal extent of diversity for brain function and that anything outside those bounds—too low or too high—may be pathological. For example, if neurons fail to function optimally in their particular role or environment, deficits could arise. Similarly, if neurons diversify and become too specialized to a given role, they may lose the plasticity required to change and function normally within a larger circuit. As researchers continue to probe the enormous complexity of the brain at the single-cell level, they will likely begin to uncover the answers to these questions—as well as those we haven’t even thought to ask yet."
(Etiology of Social Dementia - 18). The denial of science by the despotic minority is not intellect, it is just plain denial caused by an overdose of the toxins of power.
III. Some Other Effects
The two main existential threats to current civilization were discussed in the text of yesterday's post and a video presented in that post (Despotic Minority Does Time Travel - 2).
Meanwhile "welfare" and "socialism" are words that have been poisoned by the despotic minority as it degenerates further and further into the abyss of cruelty.
This is something that is antithetical to the direction our founders struggled to go in:
"The Declaration of Independence, setting forth the fundamental objections of the American colonies to English rule, included the statement that the British King 'had refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good' and, in recognition of this primary obligation of the state, the Continental Congress incorporated into the Articles of Confederation two sections containing the words 'general welfare'"
(Fordham Law Review, emphasis added). You know that "welfare" has been made dirty by corporate media presstitutes, and so has "socialism" which until that took place meant the same thing as "the public good":
"... provide for the common defense and general Welfare" - Article I, Section 8, U.S. Constitution
General Welfare: "The concern of the government for the health, peace, morality, and safety of its citizens." - The Free Legal Dictionary
"The grant of power to 'provide . . . for the general welfare' raises a two-fold question: how may Congress provide for 'the general welfare' and what is 'the general welfare' that it is authorized to promote? The first half of this question was answered by Thomas Jefferson in his opinion on the Bank as follows: '[T]he laying of taxes is the power, and the general welfare the purpose for which the power is to be exercised. They [Congress] are not to lay taxes ad libitum for any purpose they please; but only to pay the debts or provide for the welfare of the Union. In like manner, they are not to do anything they please to provide for the general welfare, but only to lay taxes for that purpose.'” - Justia, Spending For the General Welfare
(emphasis added). The despotic minority is composed of elements of "the 1%" who hide down in the "0.1%" area of the 1% and who do not care about anything but their welfare (The Homeland: Big Brother Plutonomy - 7).
IV. Closing Comments
It is a sad but also a dangerous time when the majority is being "handled" by the despots who are "only" a minority ... but wield more power than the majority.
The recent loss by the despotic minority of the House of Representatives is an example of resistance.
That resistance must spread to the senate and administration if the decline is to be thwarted and a return to the freedoms required is to take place.
But even that is not enough.
It must thereafter be vigorously perpetuated more so than ever before.
The next post in this series is here, the previous post in this series is here.
Several people have been snatched and tattooed for cremlin (See Fig. X, Fig. Y, and here), but we still do not know where they came from (Ancestry).
That is not the problem with the verb form of the word "cremlin," because there is more at stake.
One reason for that is because at this time it is clearly an inchoate form of absquatulate, which a number of the current cremlin gummit seem to have consummated.
The Nobel Prize winning poet for literature wrote:
"You got some big dreams baby, but in order to dream
you gotta still be asleep. When you gonna wake up,
when you gonna wake up When you gonna wake up
strengthen the things that remain ?"
In this post the phrase "The Creep State" (TCS) indicates the condition that manifests when a culture suffers arrested development in the form of reverting back into behaviors that are less of "a shining city on a hill" than they are of "stinking up the joint."
But always TCS is primarily the population segment diagnosed as a despotic minority which the once most-often-quoted historian, Toynbee, fingered as one of the members of the trinity of extinction that he found in all civilizations that were about to become very successful at becoming extinct:
That something is the dementia that produces and ends up in suicide:
"In other words, a society does not ever die 'from natural causes', but always dies from suicide or murder --- and nearly always from the former, as this chapter has shown."
(A Study of History, by Arnold J. Toynbee). There is no cure for the final symptom of that group dementia, there is only prevention by way of avoiding it altogether in the first place.
The components of that group dementia were pointed out in an encyclopedia piece concerning that historian quoted above:
"In the Study Toynbee examined the rise and fall of 26 civilizations in the course of human history, and he concluded that they rose by responding successfully to challenges under the leadership of creative minorities composed of elite leaders. Civilizations declined when their leaders stopped responding creatively, and the civilizations then sank owing to the sins of nationalism, militarism, and the tyranny of a despotic minority. Unlike Spengler in his The Decline of the West, Toynbee did not regard the death of a civilization as inevitable, for it may or may not continue to respond to successive challenges. Unlike Karl Marx, he saw history as shaped by spiritual, not economic forces" ...
(Encyclopedia Britannica, emphasis added). The show stopper, in terms of remedy, in this type of group dementia is that it is a contagious dementia.
When a group loses its moorings, eventually the individuals within that meme complex will also lose their moorings.
Perhaps the most striking thing about such trances is how quickly they can develop:
American psychologist Boris Sidis wrote of a striking instance of a trance that was not limited to one person, but affected a whole group. He cited the memoirs of Russian writer and journalist Ivan Ivanovich Panaev, describing the riots of military colonists in Russia in 1831. Panaev recounted that in the course of some of the hardest fighting, he came across a corporal lying in the street, crying bitterly. When Panaev asked why he was crying, the young soldier said it was because down the street, a mob was trying to kill his beloved commander, Sokolov. Panaev suggested that the corporal stop crying and go to his leader's aid. A little later, when Panaev himself brought soldiers to help Sokolov, he was astonished to see that the corporal had joined the mob and was beating Sokolov with a club. When Panaev asked what on earth he was doing, the young man replied: Everyone else is doing it. Why shouldn't I?
Immersed in the energy of the mob, the corporal had totally given up his own individuality and control of his own mind. His normal perception of reality had disappeared, and he was locked into the thinking and reality of the mob. The mob possessed a corporate mind that overwhelmed the personal views of all who came under its sway. The "group mind" of the rioters was so strong that even the soldier, who was sincerely devoted to his commander, could not resist it. He was plunged into a group-mind trance in which he was absorbed in the thought and emotion of the group and out of touch with reality as he normally knew it.
Group-mind trance does not occur only in highly charged temporary gatherings, such as riots or lynch mobs. Group-mind trance is a part of the everyday life of each one of us. We belong to various kinds of groups--families, work groups, churches, and other organizations. Each has its own group mind that entrances us, perhaps more subtly than a lynch mob, but every bit as effectively. And in the group-mind trance, we experience all the features of other trance states.
Group-mind trances give us a basis for understanding the macrotrance of culture. We could think of group-mind trances as existing on a spectrum from the family on one end to culture on the other. Culture is the group-mind trance of a whole people, and because it is so pervasive, it remains largely invisible to those who are held in its sway. The influence of group-mind trances cannot be overestimated.
...
The trance that is least recognized but very significant in our lives is group-mind trance ... Here the individual becomes a carrier of the values and drives that characterize the group as a whole. While immersed in the group mind, people may think and act in ways that are totally out of character with how they are when separate. Group-mind trance can occur in connection with such groups as one's family, church, or club; at sports events, rock concerts, tenants' meetings, and political conventions; or when involved with the staff at work or friends at a gathering. Group-mind trance forms a bridge to cultural trance, which may be thought of as a group-mind trance on the level of a whole people.
This seems to be the modern version of what was said to explain how a group-mind phenomenon can eventually control the morph of individuals within its borders ("It is forbidden to kill therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets." - Voltaire).
Some who lived quite a while ago, looking ahead from that vantage point now long gone, envisioned the end of the matter: (“The end of the human race will be that it will eventually die of civilization.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson).
III. Conclusion
There seem to be two approaches to solving group-mind trances, Leave it to Beaver, or leave it to Freud:
If the evolution of civilization has such a far reaching similarity with the development of an individual, and if the same methods are employed in both, would not the diagnosis be justified that many systems of civilization——or epochs of it——possibly even the whole of humanity——have become neurotic under the pressure of the civilizing trends? To analytic dissection of these neuroses, therapeutic recommendations might follow which could claim a great practical interest. I would not say that such an attempt to apply psychoanalysis to civilized society would be fanciful or doomed to fruitlessness. But it behooves us to be very careful, not to forget that after all we are dealing only with analogies, and that it is dangerous, not only with men but also with concepts, to drag them out of the region where they originated and have matured. The diagnosis of collective neuroses, moreover, will be confronted by a special difficulty. In the neurosis of an individual we can use as a starting point the contrast presented to us between the patient and his environment which we assume to be normal. No such background as this would be available for any society similarly affected; it would have to be supplied in some other way. And with regard to any therapeutic application of our knowledge, what would be the use of the most acute analysis of social neuroses, since no one possesses power to compel the community to adopt the therapy? In spite of all these difficulties, we may expect that one day someone will venture upon this research into the pathology of civilized communities. [p. 39] ...
Men have brought their powers of subduing the forces of nature
to such a pitch that by using them they could now very easily exterminate one another to the last man. They know this——hence arises a great part of their current unrest, their dejection, their mood of apprehension. [p. 40]

"...
Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, where have you been, my darling young one? ..."
Bobbie responds as follows ...
I’ve stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I’ve walked and I’ve crawled on six crooked highways
I’ve stepped in the middle of seven sad forests
I’ve been out in front of a dozen dead oceans
I’ve been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard ...
I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it
I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it
I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin’
I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin’
I saw a white ladder all covered with water
I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken
I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children ...
I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin’
Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world
Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin’
Heard ten thousand whisperin’ and nobody listenin’
Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin’
Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter
Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley ...
I met a young child beside a dead pony
I met a white man who walked a black dog
I met a young woman whose body was burning
I met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow
I met one man who was wounded in love
I met another man who was wounded with hatred ...
I’m a-goin’ back out ’fore the rain starts a-fallin’
I’ll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest
Where the people are many and their hands are all empty
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison
Where the executioner’s face is always well hidden
Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten
Where black is the color, where none is the number
And I’ll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it
Then I’ll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin’
But I’ll know my song well before I start singin’ ...
That is how Bullshitistan is made great again, by putting foreign agents in top national security slots?
"That way no one will know this is Murka, and will not be able to attack Murka, voila, a safe nation." - Spicer Parts
This is the basic essence of shape shifting, handed down by the forefodders:
Shape Quinn & Shifter Quinn
''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.'' [The Karl]
(Saint Warmonger The Hero). I'll bet you can hardly wait until the spice man and the spice woman get caught playing doctor in the Whut? House bowling alley.
After the capitol of Is Real? is moved over to Meeker Street in NeoJerusalem, they are going to move The Whut? House of Bullshitistan over to Bleaker Street:
"Fog's rollin' in off the East River bank
Like a shroud it covers Bleeker Street
Fills the alleys where men sleep
Hides the shepherd from the sheep
Voices leaking from a sad cafe
Smiling faces try to understand
I saw a shadow touch a shadow's hand
On Bleeker Street "
Once upon a time the Earth was flat,
causing the stars and planets to orbit
around it,
because it was also
the center of the universe.
Weather on the flat Earth was stable,
in that,
it was always either
winter,
summer,
fall,
or spring at the same time on the vast flatness.
Then the Earth was changed
into a globe
by librul scientists.
So, all those planets
went into orbit around stars
like our Sun,
and now
even the stars
are no longer orbiting
the Earth.
Additionally,
ever since
the Earth became no longer flat,
instead becoming a globe
orbiting the Sun,
there has been both
summer and winter at the same time
on Earth.
For example, now
as we speak
“it” has been threatening
to become 122 deg. F. (50 deg. C)
in Australia,
while “it” is super cold at the very same time
in the flat lands
of the U.S. Midwest,
which is the country
Bob Dylan comes from.
Libruls have made it
difficult for some
to “get it” now,
because “it” is summer near Antarctica
and “it” is winter
in Kansas
at the same time.

[photo missing here is the caption: "What was the real danger then and still is now?
When a nation is invaded by an exterior force, there are areas which tend to be invaded first."]
That is also true when our civilization invades the natural global climate system by damaging it with pollution; it inevitably turns on us (The Damaged Global Climate System, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
Concerning the reaction to our attack on it, one subsystem which we call "the Cryosphere" (the realm of ice) in the polar regions, in effect is automatically turned against us in response the growing anthropogenic warming.
So, in this series I have been pointing out that the first wave of the counter-invasion will be caused by the impact on the ice shelves (Watch The Ice Shelves, 2, 3).
The ice shelves are robust impediments to the ice sheets' ability to freely flow into the oceans unabated.
But, once those ice shelves are weakened during attacks by warmer waters and warmer winds, they will melt to the point of becoming structurally unsound.
Eventually, in addition to melting, they will also break up into icebergs which will float away to later melt elsewhere.
The main invasion damage then abruptly takes place, which is that the ice sheets will then accelerate their invasive flow into the oceans.
Typically, there are no class preferences to such invasions,
which tends to be equal-opportunity destruction taking place first in coastal regions (The 1% May Face The Wrath of Sea Level Rise First).
We do see cognitive "defenses" developing, however, (as a response to the global climate system's counter-invasion) such as the spread of mass denial:
"In 1973, Ernest Becker, a cultural anthropologist cross-trained in philosophy, sociology, and psychiatry, invoked consciousness of self and the inevitability of death as the primary sources of human anxiety and repression. He proposed that the psychological basis of cooperation, competition, and emotional and mental health is a tendency to hold tightly to anxiety-buffering cultural world views or "immortality projects" that serve as the basis for self-esteem and meaning. Although he focused mainly on social and political outcomes like war, torture, and genocide, he was increasingly aware that materialism, denial of nature, and immortality-striving efforts to control, rather than sanctify, the natural world were problems whose severity was increasing. In this paper I review Becker's ideas and suggest ways in which they illuminate human response to global climate change. Because immortality projects range from belief in technology and materialism to reverence for nature or belief in a celestial god, they act both as barriers to and facilitators of sustainable practices. I propose that Becker’s cross-disciplinary "science of man," and the predictions it generates for proximate-level determinants of social behavior, add significantly to our understanding of and potential for managing the people paradox, i.e., that the very things that bring us symbolic immortality often conflict with our prospects for survival. Analysis of immortality projects as one of the proximate barriers to addressing climate change is both cautionary and hopeful, providing insights that should be included in the cross-disciplinary quest to uncover new pathways toward rational, social change."
Ironically, our invasion against nature began with the belief that an industrial revolution was a savior of sorts, but that has ended up being the beginning of The 6th Mass Extinction, an extinction scenario that now includes human vertebrates (Vertebrate Extinction Began @ Industrial Revolution).
BTW, Dr. McGuire's Waking The Sleeping Giant, made #5 on one journalist's top-10-best eco-books list:
5. Waking the Giant by Bill McGuire
Just out, and dreadfully alarming. Bill McGuire, a distinguished geologist and brilliant science writer, charts how changing climate may trigger not just wild weather but also volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Perhaps it already is. The last time that ice caps were melting and sea levels were rising, geology was in overdrive. Faults shuddered, magma melted and mayhem followed. As McGuire persuasively shows, it could be kicking off again. This is science so scary that even the climate scientists widely dismissed as alarmists do not dare speak of it.
If that is not enough evidence for you, also check out "The biggest threat to the world is still ourselves", also by Prof. McGuire, which reminds us that we are the alien aggressors who invaded the Earth' Global Climate System first.
The state of the global climate system's counter-invasion, as it turns out, is getting more and more dire, even as the denial does the same (When You Are Governed By Psychopaths - 6).
For example:
The Totten Glacier drains more ice than any other glacier in the EAIS and contains a volume of marine-based ice above flotation equivalent to at least 3.5 m [equivalent to ~11.5 ft.] of global sea-level rise. ...
Several approaches have been used to estimate basal melt rates at the Totten Glacier. Flux gate calculations using satellite data indicated steady-state net basal melt rates ... equivalent to area-average melt rates of 10.5 ± 0.7 and 9.89 ± 1.92 m year−1, respectively [9 - 10.5 m yr is equivalent to about 29 - 34 ft. of ice shelf height melting away each year].
(Totten Glacier Ice Shelf Melting, Science Advances, 12/16/2016). That would seem to be a clear signal for civilization to get with the program.
If nothing else, just to see just what our civilization and all the nations within it really are facing now.
This official denialism may very well further threaten the fate and future of scientists who are already under siege:
My Penn State colleagues looked with horror at the police tape across my office door.
I had been opening mail at my desk that afternoon in August 2010 when a dusting of white powder fell from the folds of a letter. I dropped the letter, held my breath and slipped out the door as swiftly as I could, shutting it behind me. First I went to the bathroom to scrub my hands. Then I called the police.
It turned out to be only cornstarch. And it was just one in a long series of threats I've received since the late 1990s, when my research illustrated the unprecedented nature of global warming, producing an upward-trending temperature
I've faced hostile investigations by politicians, demands for me to be fired from my job, threats against my life and even threats against my family. Those threats have diminished in recent years, as man-made climate change has become recognized as the overwhelming scientific consensus and as climate science has received the support of the federal government. But with the coming Trump administration, my colleagues and I are bracing for a renewed onslaught of intimidation, from inside and outside government. It would be bad for our work and bad for our planet.
(Scientific Freedom). Denial can be a deadly disease, yes, an extinction-event causing disease.
To conclude this episode with a surprise, this attitude of civilization is shocking --but typical of those civilizations that went down prior to ours (Civilization Is Now On Suicide Watch, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

This is not fringe science that I am talking about ... - Dr. Rob Davies
The first post of this series was an autopsy of sorts on the interlude we take from time to time.
I mean the quaalude inspired megablather interlude.
We spend billions of dollars, hours, and invoke other treasure-able trances to elect someone to continue the ongoing (for a century) oil wars that maintain the great quaalude dispensary (The Universal Smedley - 2).
One old timey writer noticed the impact of the religion which demands oily quaalude sacraments quite often:
"The enemy aggressor is always pursuing a course of larceny, murder, rapine and barbarism. We are always moving forward with high mission, a destiny imposed by the Deity to regenerate our victims, while incidentally capturing their markets; to civilise savage and senile and paranoid peoples, while blundering accidentally into their oil wells."
"If we didn't live in this topsy-turvy world where Donald Trump is President and naming people to run agencies who are anti-everything the agencies stand for, it would be ridiculous."
(Dr. Joe Romm, physicist and former Deputy Asst. Secretary of Energy at the U.S. Dept. of Energy). In the election I am writing about, the quaalude peddler, Oil-Qaeda, finally came out.
"The coming out" was done altruistically and specially for those who were unaware of who ran the state of mind department:
THE conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society.
MOMCOM's Daddy ("batwings bernays")
Our invisible governors are, in many cases, unaware of the identity of their fellow members in the inner cabinet.
They govern us by their qualities of natural leadership, their ability to supply needed ideas and by their key position in the social structure. Whatever attitude one chooses to take toward this condition, it remains a fact that in almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons — a trifling fraction of our hundred and twenty [now 320] million — who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind, who harness old social forces and contrive new ways to bind and guide the world.
...
It is the purpose of this book to explain the structure of the mechanism which controls the public mind, and to tell how it is manipulated by the special pleader who seeks to create public acceptance for a particular idea or commodity. It will attempt at the same time to find the due place in the modern democratic scheme for this new propaganda and to suggest its gradually evolving code of ethics and practice.
Knowing little about that themselves, in retaliation The Prestitutes demanded lower quaalude prices so as to impress the electorate, who collectively did not know that OIl-Qaeda runs that show:
John D. Rockefeller, in his 1909 Random Reminiscences of Men and Events, recalled, "One of our greatest helpers has been the State Department. Our ambassadors and ministers and consuls have aided to push our way into new markets in the utmost corners of the world." But he left out a key explanation for the government's interest. Standard Oil [Rockefeller's domain] was the biggest U.S. company, putting a hundred ships to sea, buying and selling oil in Latin America, Germany, and the Far East. It also operated a global intelligence system. "By 1885," according to one historian, "seventy percent of the Standard's business was overseas and it had its own network of agents through the world, and its own espionage service, to forestall the initiatives of rival companies or governments."
The classic sacrament "All Hail Quaaludes" is being placed on billboards all around Oilandia, in towns everywhere, to signal the new whoopie! era:
As Nerosaki points out, New Werk was, during the interwar period, the most interesting and exciting city on Green House. A sublime and cutting-edge culture was combined with peculiar politics, skyrocketing inflation and a lot of kinky sex. The political drama was rendered all the more fascinating by the shenanigans of a clown called Wierd Reltih whom few observers took seriously. Amerryians were welcomed because they represented the New Wierd, a state of aspiration for Weird Reltih. Given the inflation, Amerryian
Quaalude II prophesied that one day he would be missed.
dollars were powerful, making the frolics these visitors could enjoy in this land of fantasy all the more intense.
Amerryians reacted to Wierd Reltih rather as any other nationality did. First they ridiculed him, then they expressed grudging admiration for the order he brought to New Werk. Later, they turned a blind eye to his anti-Sanoism, excused his craving for territorial expansion and doubted his appetite for war. A few warned of Wierd Reltih's threat, but they were largely ignored.
Most Amerryians tolerated New Werk racism precisely because it was directed at Sanotoids. The most striking feature of this book is how easily these visitors grafted themselves onto the prejudices of their hosts. Typical was Donald Waatt?, who arrived in New Werk in 1932 to organize a student exchange. He convinced himself, on no evidence, that “relatively few” Sanotoids were mistreated and decided that the main cause of anti-Sanoism was that “a large proportion of all business was in Sanotoid hands.” In New Werk, hating Sanotoids was the equivalent of high fashion.
The book’s best insights come not from Nerosaki but from the would-be journalist McTella, who arrived in New Werk in 1936, fresh from Donald Waatt? university. McTella observed four stages of Amerryian reaction. The first was admiration: Amerryians saw neatness, efficiency, prosperity and cleanliness. New to the country, they credited these characteristics to Wierd Reltih, instead of realizing that they were essentially New Werkian. Stage two brought a recognition of militarism — uniforms, guns, marching and "Hellyes Wierd Reltih" salutes. But since military pageantry was quite exciting, many failed to appreciate the threat it symbolized.
The problem, McTella wrote, was that the vast majority of Amerryians never progressed beyond stage two, either because their visit was so short or because they had “the sensitivity of a rhinoceros’s hide and the profundity of a tea-saucer.” A tiny few reached stage three, when they began to realize that millions of New Werkians “were being trained to act merely upon reflexes.” That should have spelled danger but often encouraged fatalism — an assumption that nothing could be done or a belief that the New Werkians should be allowed to find their own way.
The final stage was fear — a sense of “alarm that the rest of the world had no idea what was rising to confront them.” Only a small minority ever reached that stage. Perception was blocked by myopia, prejudice, inexperience or wishful thinking. Because Amerryians feared war, they refused to acknowledge the signs that war was coming.
“Wierd Reltih land” is a story of naivete, of wishful thinking, of omens unheeded. Strip away the trivialities and banalities that overpopulate this book, and what emerges is a chronicle of dangerous hypocrisy. Amerryians excused and sometimes celebrated crimes that they would have roundly condemned in their own country. Raised on MOMCOM liberty, they were incredibly tolerant of its destruction. This is a familiar story, but we should occasionally take the time to reacquaint ourselves with it.
(Oracle of Buddah Pest). It is clear, now that Quaalude The Third is empowering up, that Quaalude The Second was prescient.
When he put up his billboard to, in effect, declare that "one day you will miss me," he knew better (than we did).
