That acronym has been noticed enough to have been criticized in books written by agents of at least one of those three (see link "Oil-Qaeda & MOMCOM ... below).
But in support of that Dredd Blog originated acronym, note that there have been, for decades now, revelations by major polls (e.g. Gallup, NBC) in the U.S. indicating that a majority of the population of the country believe that the country is going the wrong way.
In order to tie these subjects together, there is new info from one major critic of that direction.
Info indicating that some factors of that misdirection match up with the Dredd Blog position on the reason for that misdirection:
"On 20 January 2022, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists set their infamous Doomsday Clock at 100 seconds to midnight for the third year running. Their accompanying report — entitled ‘At Doom’s Doorstep’ — identified three key factors which brought humanity “the closest it has ever been to civilisation-ending apocalypse”.
Two of these factors are unlikely to surprise many readers: namely, climate change and the growing threat of nuclear war. The third might be a little surprising: “a corrupted information ecosphere that undermines rational decision-making”. Though some media outlets do deal with the concentration of media influence, this is rarely seen as an existential threat."
(The Brussels Times, 2023, interview of Noam Chomsky, emphasis added). The Dredd Blog designation of "the Military", big Oil, and the commercial Media complex ("MOMcom") as three key factors (in the direction the country has been going for over a hundred years) matches as follows:
"threat of nuclear war" = "the Military"
"climate change" = "big Oil"
"corrupted information ecosphere" = "commercial Media"

There is a striking resemblance within what the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, Dredd Blog, and Dr. Chomsky have said.
