When You Are Governed By Psychopaths - 9

Insanity in individuals is something rare
but in groups, parties, nations and epochs,
it is the rule
.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
Why Did We Fail To Listen?

This series began over a decade ago (When You Are Governed By Psychopaths, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Undoubtedly  it has been considered to be a mythical conspiracy by those suffering from The "It Can't Happen Here" Trance.

One of the main revelations in this series is how long the relevant information has been available:

"I would not say that such an attempt to apply psychoanalysis to civilized society would be fanciful or doomed to fruitlessness.
...
The diagnosis of collective neuroses, moreover, will be confronted by a special difficulty. In the neurosis of an individual we can use as a starting point the contrast presented to us between the patient and his environment which we assume to be normal. No such background as this would be available for any society similarly affected; it would have to be supplied in some other way. And with regard to any therapeutic application of our knowledge, what would be the use of the most acute analysis of social neuroses, since no one possesses power to compel the community to adopt the therapy? In spite of all these difficulties, we may expect that one day someone will venture upon this research into the pathology of civilized communities."

(When You Are Governed By Psychopaths - 5, quoting Civilization And Its Discontents, S. Freud, 1929, p.39). The revelation that some civilizations are murdered, but most commit suicide is also relevant ancient history:

"In the Study Toynbee examined the rise and fall of 26 civilizations in the course of human history, and he concluded that they rose by responding successfully to challenges under the leadership of creative minorities composed of elite leaders. Civilizations declined when their leaders stopped responding creatively, and the civilizations then sank owing to the sins of nationalism, militarism, and the tyranny of a despotic minority."

(How To Enjoy The End Of Bad Choices, quoting Encyclopedia Britannica, emphasis added).

Perhaps there are sociopath groups and psychopath groups (2 Ways to Tell Psychopaths and Sociopaths Apart)?

Ok, enough of this Dredd, time for a movie (see video below).

The previous post in this series is here.

  1. RE: "One of the main revelations in this series is how long the relevant information has been available"

The issue or problem is NOT the timeless availability of "relevant information" that we've been governed by psychopaths but the nature of socalled civilized people, both the masses and their psychopathic MISleaders... they have a malignant disease, a Soullessness Spectrum Disorder (read The 2 Married Pink Elephants In The Historical Room –The Holocaustal Covid-19 Coronavirus Madness: A Sociological Perspective & Historical Assessment Of The Covid “Phenomenon” at https://www.rolf-hefti.com/covid-19-coronavirus.html ), which explains for instance WHY most people at any time have no "seen," or rather do not WANT to see, that we're ruled by psychopaths.

“When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” --- Dresden James

Before it is washed to the sea?
And how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind" (Dylan Lyrics)
