On The Origin Of Another Genetic Constant - 3

General Atom Particles
I. What, When, Why, and How

After viewing the presentation of Dr. Falkowski given to a Harvard audience depicted in the video below, I wondered again about this series, which focuses on the discovery of atomic contents in the format of a constant in DNA and RNA.

Why is it worthwhile to focus on the four and only four atom types that make up the nucleotide base pairs of DNA and RNA?

IMO it is mainly worthwhile because it shines light upon a dark region of our understanding which Dr. Falkowski points out is considered to be "an embarrassment" to educators and scientists (at least to the intellectually honest ones).

That embarrassment was specifically described to be "we know where [we are] but we don't know where we came from".

That is to say we may have ideas about where we came from, which currently is expressed by "The Big Bang" hypothesis of cosmology followed by "The Theory of Evolution" animated now in various remodels of Darwinism.

The presentation of Dr. Falkowski deals with the relevant events that predate the latter sequence composed of the evolution of the various models of Darwinism.

It is primarily an abiotic rather than a biotic evidentiary analysis.

This series focuses on the elements that are said to belong originally to the abiotic phase, that is, they existed before the biology phase which they are currently fundamental elements of.

The focus in the two Dredd Blog series which we are in the midst of is "how do only four atom types (carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen) end up tethered together during and after a big bang, and then billions of years after that end up in an even more complicated setting to render all of our genetic events"?

Dr. Falkowski says "we don't know".

Nevertheless, it is the substantial quantum consideration in the sense that "the proton and the neutron, make up most of the mass of ordinary matter" (Wikipedia).

In other words we are inherently focusing on the most of genetic matter because the proton and neutron particle types are the central pillars of those four atom types that make up the genetic matter in nucleotide types A, C, G, T, and U.

The Eugenicists of  yesteryear upon discovering that atoms, electrons, protons, and neutrons existed, responded to the challenging questions which that scientific discovery presented with "yeah but" those itsy bitsy thingys are "emitting etheric vibrations" to be received by "a psychic organ":

"At this point the theories of philosophical physics are brought into the hypothesis. Matter is composed of electrons and protons, forming atoms and molecules which are themselves separated by the ether and through which, though widely spaced apart, they act upon one another. Protons and electrons are only modifications of the other. Thus matter being itself etherial can act upon the ether; and the cortical nerve endings, being material, set up etheric vibrations which are sent out radially through the ether, without the necessity of any definite paths."

...

"Provided there be a psychic organ capable of picking up these vibrations and responding to them, capable also of emitting etheric vibrations to which the material brain will respond, we have an explanation of the possibility of Interaction. But what is to be the nature of the psychic organ thus postulated? Like the material brain, formed of protons and electrons, the psychic brain will also be formed of derivatives of ether, 'of etherial units of a finer order which may be called psychons. The structured protoplasmatic brain will have its counterpart in a psychoplasmic structure. Moreover, since protons and electrons which constitute protoplasmic structure are widely spaced apart there is no difficulty in the way of a conception of an interpenetrating psychoplasmic structure."

(Small Brains Considered - 16, quoting from The Eugenics Review). You may, like I did not so long ago, think that modern physicists don't end up saying "I'm pickin' up good vibrations", but check this out and be careful your jaw doesn't hit the floor:

"... Roger Penrose and I have developed a theory of consciousness ... It basically proposes quantum computation in brain neuron microtubules inside neurons. So rather than neuron-to-neuron communication, we're looking at a deeper level inside neurons to give a global sense of consciousness through quantum mechanics, which results in real-time causality and free will ... it gives consciousness real-time control and a potential connection to fundamental space-time geometry, quantum space-time geometry, through Roger's objective reduction. This is consistent with Eastern spiritual traditions. Although Roger doesn't like to talk about it, I've taken the liberty of observing the implications of what he said and what we've said for consciousness, for Eastern philosophy and other spiritual traditions ... if quantum consciousness is correct, for example, if Penrose's idea is correct, we are literally ripples in the fine structure of space-time geometry, which can resonate - levels of consciousness can resonate from the Planck scale, the bottom level of the Universe, multiple hierarchical levels to the brain. This is consistent with Eastern philosophy and also indicates that afterlife, reincarnation, and out-of-body experiences that we've heard about are plausible. The quantum soul."

(Small Brains Considered - 6). And we thought that Eugenics was a dead pseudoscience?

But I digress, so ...

II. Genetic History Points To Constants

In several posts recently Dredd Blog has pointed out 'constants' (e.g. ≈(32/35/25/6), but even a cursory review of the history of genetics also hints at 'constants' among species:

"Modern genetics focuses on ... DNA ... the genetic code are the same in virtually all organisms, including plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, and viruses."

(Britannica, Genetics, emphasis added). When considering the atomic structure of DNA in the genomic sequences, doesn't that genetic history and current reality hint at constants ("the genetic code are the same in virtually all")?

And all that with only four atom types (carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen)?

III. The Source Material

An analysis of the source material downloaded from the GenBank has been displayed in hundreds of appendices in several Dredd Blog series.

I am including some newer looks in today's appendix (DNA001).

I tried to make them from many different organisms so as to back-up the assertion from Britannica above (i.e. different organisms, same genetic code).

To help do so I built an SQL table composed of the scientific names of organisms the selected data using those names.

However, since those "scientific names" are generally composed of an ancient language, I added a "common names" line at the beginning of each genome sequence record (it is in common English).

Further, a lot of the records are of Homo sapiens (common name "humans" or "people") as follows: chromosomes 1,2,5,6,8,11,13,17,18,19,21,22,Y and two "unplaced genomic scaffolds": 1) GRCh38.p14 Primary Assembly HSCHRUN RANDOM 128; 2) GRCh38.p14 Primary Assembly HSCHRUN RANDOM CTG9.

IV. Closing Comments

As in previous posts detailing the hypothetical ≈(32/35/25/6) genetic constant, the rubber meets the road at the variation details, so we might as well notice that only two of the GenBank data sequences in today's appendix have a >1% and <2% variation.

One is a cockroach genome, the other is a human chromosome.

All the other instances are less than 1% variation (that is not much).

Just sayin' ...
