Is 'Insanity' A Valid Defense To Ecocide? - 3

OILSTATE - the Goo Hands People
In this series we are considering what the nations think of the worldwide oil industry that has emerged from the womb of MOMCOM.

In the first post we pointed out that mock criminal trials were taking place.

In those trials, both lawyers and judges in Europe were practicing criminal prosecutions of oil barons and oil company executives who disregard environmental law, and who thereby do great damage to civilization and the people in various nations around the globe.

In that post we also looked at a trial where a chemical company was found liable for harming a farmer by poisoning.

Now the plot has thickened, oil barons have been detained in criminal cases because of negligent oil spills:
Authorities in Brazil have detained 17 high-ranking executives of U.S. oil producer Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) and drilling company Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) after a judge refused to let them leave the South American country pending possible criminal charges.

The travel ban was imposed as prosecutors prepare a criminal case against the companies and executives over their alleged role in deep-water oil spills last year and a second seepage last week, according to news reports.
(Brazil Detains Oil Executives). This is the kind of trend that is necessary, in the U.S.A. too, so that these 1% criminals, who are destroying the Earth, begin to comprehend that the other 7,000,000,000 people on the Earth are not going to stand by as they poison and ruin us.

Unfortunately, that is not the case in the U.S. because the politicians have no spine, and are fundamentally dishonest, when it comes to environmental issues.

Lawyers for the oil barons are going all out to shake the prosecutor from the case according to this Reuters Post.
