The Bacterial Frontrunner

Sometimes it is very difficult to understand how the front runner is chosen prior to November.

So, I sought out some general expertise:

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world.

Which to some of us would give rise to the question: "Where in the world is Waldo"?
