A trance where "we" don't know where "we" are anymore because "these maps" are not for "us" (You Are Here) ?
Why "we" are still "in" Afghanistan is said to be a mystery to Blind Willie McTell News (Blind Willie McTell News) and to "our" government officials, who are more concerned with their towering emoluments.
Because:

Once again, why "we" are "in" Afghanistan for 16 or so years is material:

A wide variety of nonfuel mineral resources is known, including important deposits of copper, iron, gold, chromium, silver, barite, sulfur, talc, magnesium, salt, mica, marble, rubies, emeralds, and lapis lazuli. In addition, USGS-TFBSO surveys have also delineated potentially extractable deposits of asbestos, mercury, lead, zinc, fluorspar, bauxite, beryllium, clays, limestone, and lithium.

"We" have religiously spent thousands of lives, a trillion dollars of taxpayer money, years of USGS snooping for oil and other resources, etc., to do what in Afghanistan and WHY?
Why? ... To take back our resources that somehow got underneath their land:
"The enemy aggressor is always pursuing a course of larceny, murder, rapine and barbarism. We are always moving forward with high mission, a destiny imposed by the Deity to regenerate our victims, while incidentally capturing their markets; to civilise savage and senile and paranoid peoples, while blundering accidentally into their oil wells or metal mines."(As We Go Marching, by John T. People of the world take note that "we" keep an eye out for our lost resources that have somehow been spread all around the world, and that we are very busy reclaiming them (MOMCOM: The Private Parts, 2, 3, 4, 5; MOMCOM 2.0).
Or, is it because Oil-Qaeda and the other horsemen of the apocalypse (Apocalypse: The Domestic Enemies) are our real enemies and because "we" are too unaware of it ?

That's tellin' it like it IS, Dredd - good job! Our taxpayer dollars at work [not to mention all the "funny money" created out of thin air]. The Pentagon can't account for TRILLIONS of dollars they've been allocated (and always want MORE). Meanwhile, there's little to no infrastructure improvement or even maintenance, social programs and the Arts are unfunded and ignored, while Congress continues to steal money from Social Security (and they NEVER pay it back).

ReplyDeleteAs I understand it, the magical Sky God secretly hid away America's natural resources under the soil of Afghanistan for the End Times generation. There they have lain unmolested in all of their glory for thousands of years (since the beginning), awaiting this final unveiling.
ReplyDeleteIn His Infinite Wisdom, the Great Invisible and Silent Deity withheld the secret knowledge of this vast trove of wealth and riches - especially from the heathen races who refuse to repent and worship the One True.
In His Mercy, He allowed thousands of years for their discovery, but the heathens refused to repent of their wickedness.
But now, finally, under the Highly Esteemed Lordship of Trump The Faithful, America will be finally rewarded for her faithful selection of the Most High Evangelical Shepard to the Office Of The President, along with his replacement, the Honorable Pence, The Prince.
Riches and reward now await the Bold and Faithful who will be soon instructed to Recover the Secreted Riches of America long since hidden away under the soil of Afghanistan.
As always, the cost in Blood and Tears will be demanded as the essential sacrifice (blood offering) required.
American mothers and fathers will soon be saying their final goodbyes to their chosen sons and daughters who will engage for their country in the supposed 'final' bloodbath of the end times. Orders for American flags and coffins will be increased. Patriotic parades with blaring bands will resume their marching. School children will stand in awe.
And Pence the Prince will be crowned, holding back the Darkness.
And America will be great. Again.
