The rumors are that a number of publishers of newspapers will have to file bankruptcy in this economic storm.
This storm we can't seem to get a handle on as to its depth and its width and its dangers.
Some significant newspapers have already taken the plunge and are struggling to avoid a Chapter 11 becoming a Chapter 7.

Don't worry, the internet won't be free for long either. In fact, the monetization has barely just begun. Monetizing the internet's not only good for profits (and God knows profits are king now), but it's great for stifling dissent under the cover of "free markets" as well. Fortunately for most of us, we won't be able to afford an internet connection (never mind a computer or one of the gazillion hand held devices we're being trained to worship!) anyway, so it's all good.
