| Spontaneous Uplift |
Just to remind us that we don't know everything about this planet, a 1,000 foot section of beach near Homer, Alaska suddenly and mysteriously rose the height of a two story building, which is about 20 feet.
It happened overnight a few days ago.
Scientists are still figuring this one out, but so far they have been ruling out earthquake activity as the cause; instead, the main theory at the moment has to do with a 12,000 year old landslide.
