The only way out of the trailer park...disaffected,

The only way out of the trailer parks, since MOMCOM entitlements to endless wars are evaporating jobs, is to get one of those military base mansions, or access to cash in Iraq.

Thus the mentally challenged are put behind rifles with crusader stuff written on the sights, to proceed proudly on into military glory.

Heaven can't help but wait.Dreddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15673418865926403671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-27071233363399711592010-03-24T08:30:29.273-05:002010-03-24T08:30:29.273-05:00The thing about the Repugs is, you seriously have ...The thing about the Repugs is, you seriously have to wonder if they're all retarded. I just watched Jim Demint (R-SC) on the Today show, who has already introduced a bill to repeal HCR. In one sentence the guy blasts Obama for being a socialist and for attempting a government takeover (in fact the government is handing the private sector yet another massive tribute with individual mandates) and then blasts him for going after "our seniors' medicare entitlements," which most certainly ARE socialist in nature.

You have to shake your head at the GOP and their retarded followers. They're bringing stupidity out of the closet and making it mainstream again. You have to wonder how such much ignorance manages to persist, but a visit to any of the millions of trailer parks across the south provides the answer. The GOP and its followers are probably the best argument against welfare that could ever be made.NowhereManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12745173041874539711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-42834038693568545692010-03-24T06:29:52.748-05:002010-03-24T06:29:52.748-05:00It seems to me that the democrats are far more saa...It seems to me that the democrats are far more saavy than the republicans who are conducting themselves as a body of ghouls, hatemongers, and warmongers.

If anyone did a worthwhile strategy it was the democrats who's efforts at health care reform were declared dead several times over the past year.

I hope the democrats do have the strategy as Dredd theorized.Randyhttp://artwanted.com/artist.cfm?artid=3388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-53135273073926098862010-03-23T14:53:16.540-05:002010-03-23T14:53:16.540-05:00disaffected,

I still think you're givi...A couple of things. I still think you're giving the Dems way too much credit for what is essentially a massive subsidy to the health care insurance racket, but be that as it may; MOMCOM budgets can and will continue to be justified by further terrorist attacks, whether they be actual or manufactured by MOMCOM herself. A whole lot of things may or may not fall out of future budgets to minimize deficits, or we may just embrace deficit spending until we finally break the bank (I just came from The Atlantic, where it seems the great majority of the learned intellectual elite believe deficits and the debt are in fact no problem at all), but either way, MOMCOM budgets are largely inviolable.

Secondly, I don't think for one minute that Health Care reform legislation was about anything more than a political "victory" for whichever side came out on top. Obama's willingness to negotiate virtually anything substantive away at the drop of the hat told me all I need to know about his "change we can believe in" malarkey.

Finally, I don't believe HCR's going to hold up anyway. The constitutional challenges alone seem to be on pretty solid ground, and if that don't get it, future GOP legislatures will. Remember, most of the real benefits don't kick in for years anyway, so an impassioned constituency will take some time to form.

I've enjoyed listening to the liberals crow about this "victory" today, and had the bill been an actual "reform" bill worthy of the name, I'd be one of them. But I just can't get behind more corporate welfare, and that's pretty much all this bill really amounts to. The supposed cost savings are all pretty tenuous as well. Given that they gave away single payer without even a fight, they should have just stuck to trying to regulate the insurance industry and left it at that.NowhereManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12745173041874539711noreply@blogger.com
