I find classical physics nonsensical because it assumes that the universe exists over real/complex numbers. That means it would take an infinitely large computer to simulate any volume of space, no matter how small. That, and the fact that everything falls apart more or less immediately in a Newtonian universe.

I don't believe in infinity; it's just a mathematical convenience.Dasknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-5596679898347390602009-11-11T11:40:18.253-06:002009-11-11T11:40:18.253-06:00Thanks Leslie. Thanks Leslie.Dreddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15673418865926403671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-79244973322371704242009-11-11T09:47:08.422-06:002009-11-11T09:47:08.422-06:00Having spent many years studying quantum mechanics...Having spent many years studying quantum mechanics, I try very hard to understand the major blind spot "classical" physicists continue to labour under. Explaining reality to ourselves from inside the very reality consciousness in which we are immersed is impossible, and the choice to adhere to old principles is understandable but untenable. I've run the gamut from Eddington to Einstein to Feynman to Laszlo (with some Hofstader thrown in) and still can't see how people are missing the big "weirdness." Maybe I am not enough of a scientist to be rigorous, but I truly KNOW that absolutely everything is "connected" (not in some GUT) and all time is one time, and duration is just an artifact emergent from our limited consciousness. The only proof I have, though, is the fact that I was clinically dead, came back, and everything was changed in my awareness in that short period. Maybe that's why I am no longer "afraid of death" and the underlying reality that is the void of "dark matter/energy" and "entanglement." But how does a poet explain that to a scientist?

Sorry to ramble. I really have been enjoying your blog, and thank you for the effort and commitment.leslie de Vriesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-82168979125890289492009-11-10T12:23:33.431-06:002009-11-10T12:23:33.431-06:00mmfiore,
Your site is easy to read. I like it. Co...mmfiore,

Your site is easy to read. I like it. Congratulations on being a free thinker. I will spend some time there to see if I can come up with some math. But first I am going to have fun reading.Dreddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15673418865926403671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-66294419565456284702009-11-10T10:19:38.423-06:002009-11-10T10:19:38.423-06:00I agree with what Roger Penrose said shown above.
...I agree with what Roger Penrose said shown above.
As an alternative to Quantum Theory there is a new theory that describes and explains the mysteries of physical reality. While not disrespecting the value of Quantum Mechanics as a tool to explain the role of quanta in our universe. This theory states that there is also a classical explanation for the paradoxes such as EPR and the Wave-Particle Duality. The Theory is called the Theory of Super Relativity and is located at: www.superrelativity.org
This theory is a philosophical attempt to reconnect the physical universe to realism and deterministic concepts. It explains the mysterious.mmfiorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07649185144011409332noreply@blogger.com
