An Ocean Of Governmental Awareness

The government of the Maldives is alive and well, even as the ocean they worry about is not so healthy:
The government of the Maldives has held a cabinet meeting underwater to highlight the threat of global warming to the low-lying Indian Ocean nation.

President Mohamed Nasheed and his cabinet signed a document calling for global cuts in carbon emissions.

Ministers spent half an hour on the sea bed, communicating with white boards and hand signals.

The president said the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen this December cannot be allowed to fail.

At a later press conference while still in the water, President Nasheed was asked what would happen if the summit fails. "We are going to die," he replied.
(BBC News). The Ecocosmology blog has a post detailing a very recent scientific paper which shows that the Maldives officials are saavy.

Will the governments of the larger nations get it, or are they too corrupt?

Obamaspeak The Whitehouse Tongue

As if the all time housing crisis was not enough!

The President degenerated into Obamaspeak in New Orleans where he made no excuses for the lack of care of the poor and needy there who still have not been helped back to normalcy.

He did not mention the banks and foreign nations who got billions and trillions of taxpayer money.

He simply said the constitution would not let him write a check, then hurried off to fund raisers where couples paid $34,000 dollars to listen to him pump them up.

A little boy asked him why people hate him when "God is love", causing Obama to embrace him and say "that's what I am talking about".

No it isn't Mr. President, Americans are defined by what we do for the least among us, not what we do for the filthy rich among us.

Dig it.

The government structure we currently have is a failure. It is controlled by the plunder barons, plain and simple.

They will continue to lie and deceive to try to hold on to power, as if we can not see through it like Saran wrap.

Sicko for sure.

The Worst Housing Disaster In History

When and where did that happen?

It happened in the third quarter (July, August, September) in the United States:
Despite concerted government-led and lender-supported efforts to prevent foreclosures, the number of filings hit a record high in the third quarter, according to a report issued Thursday.

"They were the worst three months of all time," said Rick Sharga, spokesman for RealtyTrac, an online marketer of foreclosed homes.
(CNN Money, emphasis added). The outcome of the concerted efforts to save the banks is still unknown, where the Fed sent trillions of dollars is still unknown because they are battling in the courts to not tell us.

The fact that the concerted government and lender-supported effort to stop the housing crisis resulted in "the worst three months of all time" is not encouraging either.

And everyone and their uncle has a theory about why the crisis happened. But the mystery is sexed up a bit too much by those trying to cover things up.

Certainly we do know that foreclosures happen because people can't make their house payment. And that happens because they lose their job or can't pay mounting bills, so something has to give.

But why it happens on a scale never before seen is something that takes "experts" to pull off. Obviously you and I can only cause our own disaster, but to break the all time record takes people in high places, not local yokels.

The theory advanced on this blog is that war produces nothing but destruction and disaster, but it costs more than anything else we do.

Two wars lasting a decade are going to cause ten years worth of wealth destruction, which will be taken from the middle class and poor, not from the rich.

One of the many proofs of that is that the poor and middle class people, for the first time in about 35 years, will not receive a COLA increase in Social Security payments. But the banks got the biggest "COLA" increase ever.

The middle class "wealth" goes up in smoke, public and private money is routed away from non-war business, and is funnelled into the small percentage of the economy that requires warbucks to survive. Other non-war businesses close, jobs are lost, then homes are lost.

Yes it takes the patriotic big banks, the patriotic fed, the patriotic "experts", and the militaristic, imperialistic government to make a really great, never-before-done disaster like this one.

Magnitricity Is Not Bipartisanship

Give me a little love here bloggers.

How many times have I said "buy textbook stocks" because the inked words they are putting in them do not last long, so there will be reprints and that means profit for the textbook publishing companies?

You know, planned obsolescence.

Well it has happened again and we may even be getting closer to understanding the magnetic personality:
The findings could lead to a reassessment of current magnetism theories, as well as significant technological advances.

The research, published in Nature, proves the existence of atom-sized ‘magnetic charges’ that behave and interact just like more familiar electric charges. It also demonstrates a perfect symmetry between electricity and magnetism – a phenomenon dubbed ‘magnetricity’ by the authors from the LCN and the Science and Technology Facility Council’s ISIS Neutron and Muon Source.
(Science Daily, emphasis added). A similar discovery about electrical current was made recently, however, it concerned "persistent current", which used to fit into the perpetual motion machine department of scientific mythology.

Meanwhile, the Arctic sea ice is going to become water during the summers, possibly flooding a river near you.

New textbooks are needed there as well, to replace the textbooks which say the ice is always 18 feet thick, even in summer.

And the entire concept of the solar system is now to be relegated to "old-timey flat earth collections" of textbooks at the freak book museum:
"These images have revolutionized what we thought we knew for the past 50 years; the sun travels through the galaxy not like a comet but more like a big, round bubble," said Stamatios Krimigis of the Applied Physics Lab, in Laurel, Md., principal investigator for Cassini's Magnetospheric Imaging Instrument which carries the Ion and Neutral Camera. "It's amazing how a single new observation can change an entire concept that most scientists had taken as true for nearly fifty years."
(NASA JPL, emphasis added). The high and mighty robe wearers who have used textbooks to teach falsehoods, battled other colleagues, causing some to lose jobs, tenure, or respect because they had different ideas, and all this is "amazing"?

No, it is not amazing, it is pathetic because science is part of the survival of the human species, but these selfish elite just do not grasp that.

Extinction Is Not For Everyone

With the likes of Rush "I Agree With The Taliban" Limbaugh, who "hopes Obama fails" and who agrees with Iran like the fake progressives do; and with the likes of the Cheney family of torture; you would think the GOP has determined to go extinct.

Like the know-nothing party did way back in the pages of hysterical history.

But moderate republicans are trying to swim to the surface to get media time, so they may preserve the GOP.

Perhaps the neoCon controlled media will get shamed into some air time for moderate republicans?

If not, the democratic party is doomed. I say that because they are not the type of party to think originally. They only react, so the neoCons will take them down to new lows unheard of in modern political debauchery.

Is there any hope in history for a comeback for the GOP, all the way from "extinction" or worse? Well sure ...

The Banggai Crow, the Sumatran ground cuckoo, the Carrikeri harlequin frog, and Beck's Petrel have mythically not become extinct after having been declared so.

Political science is an art, so stay tuned to the blogs and eschew the neoCon MSM.

Orally Tainted Birther

It "borders on the delusional" is what the Federal Judge said of "birther" wonder woman Orly Taitz, the neoCon Sarah Palin wannabe of the moment, who the judge fined $20,000 dollars for Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck type orations.

The orally tainted neoCon had sued because she said Obama was not an American citizen and the court was a puppet of the Obama worshippers.

Eat your heart out Joe the Plumber, you are a delusional piker by comparison!

The federal judge who ordered the sanction is located down in the delusional state of affairs, the state of Georgia, so I was surprised he did not agree with the nonsense.

I won't bore you with a list of the delusional politicians who have come from that state like Zell Miller, nor of the bright ones like Jimmy Carter that also hail from Georgia.

There used to be such a state of Georgia in the Soviet Union where Orly hails from. Was she just geographically challenged?

Who knows why the garbage has floated to the top but it has. Garbage first, country last is the real mantra of the brain dead ghoul neoCons.

The neoCons who make the republican party stink like a dead elephant carcase deep within the climate-change-destroyed-deserts.

The deserts of the drought stricken planet that by now is addicted to the military oil media complex, composed primarily of the death worshippers.

Judge, it does not just "border on the delusional", it is delusional and about as delusional as social dementia gets for a professional lawyer.

Washington Post Reports Gibberishly

The Washington Post indicates that President Obama increased the total number of troops in Afghanistan by 13,000 without telling anyone about it.

The title of their article is "Support Troops Swelling U.S. Force in Afghanistan". But some of the text inside the article seems contradictory:
On Afghanistan, White House and Pentagon spokesmen differed over exactly what the president has approved.

Obama announced in a March 27 speech that he was approving 21,000 troops, and a White House spokesman said that the president did not approve any other increases before or after. Asked for more details on the troop authorizations, spokesman Tommy Vietor said the Pentagon was better suited to provide such "technical information."
(WaPo). The story then, is that there is a dispute over how many troops 21,000 really is.

The gibbersish that WaPo calls news is just one more reason newspapers are in trouble financially and why some are washed up.

The paper is see through like saran wrap.

The Supreme Being Netanyahu

Net Zero
In an event that is likely to further strain the relationship between Netanyahu and Obama, the former has vowed to never let any Israeli official or soldier stand trial for war crimes:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that he would never allow any of the Israel's leaders or soldiers to be put on trial for war crimes.

Netanyahu opened his fiery speech at the inauguration of the Knesset's winter session by blasting the Goldstone Commission's report sponsored by the United Nations, that accused Israel of committing war crimes during its war against militants in the Gaza Strip last year.
(Haaretz). Netanyahu said this in response to a U.N. Report indicating that Israel and Hamas committed war crimes during the Gaza fog of war.

This blog has said repeatedly, since accountability is required for democracy to work, that Obama needs to look beyond his nose on these issues, because the easy, "mamby pamby way out" is way, way out there.

When nations line up on both sides of war crimes a bubble is created that continues to inflate until it often explodes into war.

Stopping the bubble by prosecuting for war crimes VERY EARLY deflates it by sticking a pin in the bubble so that it pops, releasing the pressure and destroying the vehicle for the bubble.

The next post in this series is here.

Obama Polls Upward

We reported almost two months ago that President Obama was polling downward fast, and this blog in that post calculated that it was because he or his advisers had forgotten why he was elected.

The reason he was elected was, in the main, due to a rejection of all things Bush II we said.

Does the Nobel Peace Prize he was awarded indicate that he is shifting policy more in tune with the voters who rejected bushiedom?

Perhaps not alone, but taken along with the polls that show the Nobel Committee is saying what the polls are also now saying may prove the case.

The case is that President Obama is now polling upward in many places. The tide is changing in his favour again. Notice some poll results:
Gallup (56%)

CBS (56%)

Ipsos/McClatchy (56%)

Associated Press / GfK (56%)
(October 1-10). Why is the MSM (mainstream media) not saying this, and instead holding to the news of two months ago?

It is because they are corrupted by the military oil media complex that suffers from the propaganda disease, a form of social dementia.

Plain and simple.
