Would't that be poetic justice? Imagine the oil barons in Houston getting their expensive suits, cars, houses, office buildings, and everything else literally washed in light crude oil and the entire city stinking of the stuff. Couldn't happen to a better bunch. Of course, then the incorrigible bitches would have the unmitigated gall to put there palms out to the Feds for a handout as well. We just can't win for losing.NowhereManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12745173041874539711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-55584265300919400282010-05-03T07:47:39.755-05:002010-05-03T07:47:39.755-05:00Perhaps we've already morphed into a new speci...Perhaps we've already morphed into a new species--homo adjustus, no longer thinking, merely adjusting and exploiting local conditions. I savour the irony of our self-proclaimed "thinking" characteristic: so much of our actions are irrational. Such as thinking we are beyond cosmic law or that we can solve epic problems with the same minds and means that made them.

The coming water wars will dwarf the petroleum skirmishes. And truly, hasn't there been a "one world government" as long as there has been imaginary money?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12203448515740077842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-31527215647505985342010-05-02T19:58:37.981-05:002010-05-02T19:58:37.981-05:00Thus, world civilization in general today is not c...Thus, world civilization in general today is not completely unlike a group of warlords who have their own territories, which you better not enter without permission, or you can expect a fight of some sort.

Actually, world civilization today is exactly like that.

There is a dichotomy involved in this situation, because homo sapiens do not have the power to overrule the government the Earth or the cosmos, being limited instead, to obeying or disobeying that government.

The reality of that dichotomy is the exact drama currently being played out. Thanks Dredd, for pointing it out.

It is debatable whether or not homo sapiens can govern ourselves in order to learn to obey the government of the Earth and the cosmos.

Indeed it is. And the overwhelming evidence thus far is that we can't.

It is also axiomatic that a species must keep their planet clean enough to keep that species alive until they accomplish competent space travel to a new home world.

I wouldn't buy any shares in any space travel or "green" adventures any time soon if I were you. Environmental cleanup, maybe.

Bottom line: IMO we're riding this oil based economy shit to the very bottom. As it runs out, we'll initiate resource wars using every weapon available to continue our dying lifestyle for as long as we can. The evidence for this would seem to be incontrovertible, as that's exactly what we've been doing since at least 1980.

It won't be pretty, but ALL of it will be 100% supported by the American public, who, in buying into all of the "American exceptionalism" bullshit that will be floated to support it, will have FINALLY become the Hitler/Stalin totalitarian state we've spent the last century fighting against.NowhereManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12745173041874539711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-17114850733832729982010-05-02T18:37:31.708-05:002010-05-02T18:37:31.708-05:00Punishment cannot be avoided in the natural system...Punishment cannot be avoided in the natural system of justice.

No one is too big to fail or too big to go to jail.

It is simple natural justice which applies to everyone.

My buddies in the middle class and poor understand that, but the elites in the "other class" don't seem to.Randyhttp://artwanted.com/artist.cfm?artid=3388noreply@blogger.com
