Gonna be real interesting to see how all of this turns out. More Patriot Act type legislation for starters I'll bet, with or without some blatant end runs around current statutes to get at the perps.NowhereManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12745173041874539711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-66680319302077674232010-11-29T10:16:44.036-06:002010-11-29T10:16:44.036-06:00The very foundation of our House of Hegemony was l...The very foundation of our House of Hegemony was legalized by the National Security Act which created the Secret Government Act in 1947. All this would be at risk, with the spill by WikiLeaks, if only...

Really, folks, what we realize from this, other than a few scoundrels losing sleep, we finally get to state "the obvious" without being falsly acused of spreading conspiracy theories.Kathy Podgershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07489944336685763154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-59633469266163606392010-11-29T08:28:53.068-06:002010-11-29T08:28:53.068-06:00I'm watching King on Today call for WikiLeaks ...I'm watching King on Today call for WikiLeaks to be classified as a Foreign Terrorist Organization as I speak. I expect we'll hear a lot more of this kind of stuff.

Funny that a lowly PFC (E-3) in the Army could have downloaded all this stuff. The guy had almost certainly only been in for 2-3 years or less.

Funny that for all the talk of how this risks American lives, no one is questioning stationing service members all over the world in the first place in support of questionable (read imperialistic) goals.

Probably just coincidence that the "Christmas Tree Bomber" was caught just in time for the holiday season as a perfect illlustration of how at danger we all are and how thankful we should all be to have MOMCOM, DHS, and the Patriot Act out there "protecting our freedoms."

I noticed that every football game this weekend made an ostentatious show of "respect for the troops." Nike's also come out with special "Pro Combat" uniforms that several teams wear, that go so far as to display a US flag a la US military uniforms. The marketing game here is obvious: Pro sports (especially football) = All-American values = American military troops = holidays = corporate values = holiday sales. Football's been making that pitch for years, but every year it gets a little more obvious.NowhereManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12745173041874539711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039161489041752842.post-64973512779874673942010-11-29T07:55:24.405-06:002010-11-29T07:55:24.405-06:00Rep.
