The Poet Laureate of MOMCOM

A poet laureate is a strange notion, probably conceived of somewhere along Highway 51 in the early phase of The Enlightenment.

You might want to ask New Jersey about its poet laureate for an example.

Now Dredd Blog selects the poet laureate of MOMCOM to be Rimbaud (pronounced "Rambo" in southern literature sections along Highway 51).

More about that later, but first consider the tightrope world of any poet laureate.

The Dredd Blog theory is that the position of poet laureate was created because language is a habit (another Dredd Blog theory).

That is probably best illustrated by one section of another highway:
Oh God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son”
Abe says, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on”
God say, “No.” Abe say, “What?”
God say, “You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin’ you better run”
Well Abe says, “Where do you want this killin’ done?”
God says, “Out on Highway 61”
(Highway 61, Revisited). There is an infamous bridge on Highway 61, as well as several famous one lane bridges along the way.

A lot of fights break out there, especially on those one-lane bridges, because "the poetry" naturally causes ideological clashes:
First, "By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac." The word "offered up" is the same that is used for slaying and offering up sacrifices. Here then is the problem: how could Abraham "offer up" his son by faith, seeing that it was against both the law of nature and the law of God for a man to slay his own son? Genesis 22:2, however, shows that his faith had a sure foundation to rest upon, for the Lord Himself had commanded him so to do. But this only appears to remove the difficulty one stage farther back: God Himself had laid it down as a law that "whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed" (Gen. 9:6). True, but though His creatures are bound by the laws He has prescribed them, God Himself is not.

God is under no law, but is absolute Sovereign.
(Faith of Abe). One source of clashes is caused when history teaches us that the toxins of power eventually work on the minds of the high priest in chief until the priest confuses himself with God and eventually becomes a sovereign too, as agent of God, unable to do any wrong.

Should you want to bone up on faith, Dredd Blog touched upon the subject of faith in the context of it being a vaccime in the recent post: V: The Evolution of The Vaccime.

Another reason Rambo is the Dredd Blog choice as the poet laureate of MOMCOM is because of what is said of the poet's work:
Rimbaud and Verlaine were engaged in a drink - and drug - filled binge that drove them both to the edge of sanity. They were living in filth and violence at the fringes of society, all in the name of a greater poetic truth ... The poems are no less fiery today than when he first wrote them. I say fiery because that is what Rimbaud's writing does, it burns.
(Being Mod Is Not Just Snuffing Out). The oil-drug binge and the filth of the pollution to our garden home planet, together MOMCOM causes with the violence of the oil wars "at the fringes of society", just beyond "the edge of sanity", qualifies Rambo as MOMCOM's poet laureate with red, white, and blue flying colors.

The slash and burn philosophy of MOMCOM is also well represented in the Rambo body of poetry that is "fiery" to the point that "it burns".

Corp Germ > Corp Seed > Corp Monster - 4

In this series Dredd Blog has been discussing the evolution of the idea of corporations in the USA.

This Dredd Blog discussion follows their evolution from once tiny, temporary, local constructs that would cease to exist upon completion of some public service, into their current manifestation as gigantic, world affecting, multinational monsters.

During the discussion we couldn't help but comment on the revisionist historical propaganda, which the neoCon self-righties have created out of whole cloth, in an attempt to cover the past and future trail for their corporate agenda.

The corporations that now control the federal and state governments "from the sidelines" are in the epidemic phase of the disease which now focuses (in terms of foreign policy) primarily on the oil wars.

The blurring, conflating, and morphing of government with corporations, which those on the right call "privatizing", is little more than the expansion of the realm of "servitude" of the people, defined clearly and well in advance by the father of our Constitution:
Our founders were well aware of the question and the answer hundreds of years ago. They spoke of it with unmistakable words and with certain clarity:
Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the Executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied : and all the means of seducing the minds, are added to those of subduing the force, of the people. The same malignant aspect in republicanism may be traced in the inequality of fortunes, and the opportunities of fraud, growing out of a state of war, and in the degeneracy of manners and of morals, engendered by both. No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare. Those truths are well established.
(James Madison, emphasis added). The visionary who made that statement was the 4th President of the United States, Bill of Rights author, Congressman, Cabinet Member, who was also called the "Father of the U.S. Constitution".
(The Greatest Source Of Power Toxins?). Noticed any wars lately, or that they are getting longer and longer, or that this condition affects freedoms?

The neural net of MOMCOM, which Dredd Blog calls governation (government-corporation), extends all the way from the source of imperialistic military ideology, developed in the vast "war college" system, into the mass media of every sort (movies, TV, literature, news, communications, etc.).

From there it naturally extends out to the populace by way of a vast propaganda network which has not been seen in empires existing upon the face of the Earth until these modern times of technological wizardry.

At the personal level the end nodes of this system are the two almond shaped twin message receivers within each individual human brain called the amygdala by scientists, as well as the five senses.

It is unnecessary to implant in human brains little technological devices, portrayed in the science fiction movies, because they are already there and fully functioning at birth.

Notably, the amygdala portion of the system necessarily brings up a notion of subconscious animation via "involuntary" behavior.

That is one scary part of the whole system, because MOMCOM is not fully controlled by conscious mental activity, but is infected with the toxins of power which cause behavior that has not been thought out from beginning to end, debated, or otherwise vetted by those who are still conscious of where we are being taken.

Another scary part is how completely we are wired into this system, from the food we eat, clothes we wear, toothpaste we brush with, pills we take, to the cell phones and similar devices we carry with us all the time to connect us to the system of MOMCOM, which are used to keep an eye on us.

Earlier in this post we mentioned the oil wars, which we consider to be the end-all and be-all of the continued existence of civilization.

In the series The Peak of The Oil Wars, we focus on the imperialistic machinations of all sorts designed to control hydrocarbons (oil, gas, coal - civilization's main drug) from source to market.

In other posts we deal with the other end of the oil wars, global warming / global climate change, that is, the vast realm of the systematic pollution of the Earth.

Thus, it can be seen that the peak of the oil wars is the most important subject matter for civilization's demise or survival.

The evolution of the nature of corporations parallels that subject because they are inextricably fused together by the toxins of power.

The previous post in this series is here.

V: The Evolution of The Vaccime

Or perhaps the subtitle: "a good leek or broccoli vaccime can cure what ails your political system."

The word "vaccime" originated within "Memetics", a struggling discipline within the halls of research at the edge of science.

As an emerging discipline, originally designed to equate thought evolution with genetic evolution, Memetics did not do so well, at least in terms of broad-based popularity.

But there is still hope that it could do better if it changed direction by focusing its application toward the future thereby changing its original focus away from an exercise of merely cloning ancient biological evolution by using "new words" but little else.

The hypothesis is that it would do better if it became a vehicle for talking about the future, beginning from a perspective of the here and now.

The purpose of this post is to talk about elections in the context of the evolution of democracy, within the framework of Memetics, but specifically in the context of the evolution of the vaccime and its application as a cure for political diseases.

So first, before we discuss the notion of the vaccime in more detail, lets take a look at the Lexicon of Memetics for a definition of the word vaccime:
vaccime

(pron. vak-seem) Any meta-meme which confers resistance or immunity to one or more memes, allowing that person to be exposed without acquiring an active infection ... Common [vaccimes] are "Faith", "Loyalty", "Skepticism", and "tolerance" ... Every [meme complex] includes a vaccime to protect against rival memes.
(Memetic Lexicon). To tie this to democratic elections, remember that Dredd Blog has always argued that accountability is the vaccime (the antidote)
Ye olde 'middle finger'
to politicians who do not do what they told the voters they were going to do when they campaigned for the votes of those voters.

The voters therefore hold them accountable by voting them out of office at the first opportunity.

Long time readers know that not only does Dredd Blog consider the primary method of applying accountability to be elections, but that Dredd Blog also knows that accountability vanishes when the political system is infected with the toxins of power.

The recent election evolution in the middle east was described as "revolution", which is nothing more than the morph of the application of a vaccime into a progressively stronger dosage, because the political disease has become acute.

For example, in Egypt elections had degenerated into a hollow mockery because those elections were as phony as an election in Russia under Stalin.

Or as phony as an election in Kentucky before the vaccime had been generously applied there to stop the election judges from the peddling of election results to the highest bidder.

In Egypt the people were forced to vote with their feet, i.e. street protests, because the useless paper ballot became a symbol of Mubarak's oppression.

In Libya the people are said to have voted with their guns because when they peacefully assembled to vote with their feet they were shot down.

So, historically the election vaccime is the vote, the protest, or the armed revolution, depending on the type of election disease that must be dealt with.

The bottom line for the future is that one type of therapy or vaccime sometimes fails, mandating a switch to another therapy in order to avoid insanity.

The State of The Onion Script - 2

The bad Shakespearean play which the fifth graders in Congress and the White House have been putting on is a waste of the air waves.

It is difficult to tell whether they are trying to sell Pepto Bismol or make utter fools of themselves, because their pseudo polemics are much like the sign to the upper left.

Since they are the only ones that won't understand that their ongoing pseudo polemics are utterly useless and deceptive, here is a clue for Boehner, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama: no sign = no sharp edges (so lose the sign of the times).

Current toxic, pseudo polemics are deceptive like the sign is, in the sense that if a transportation authority was to put up such a sign, the authoritarian followers among us would fill in the blanks for that authority, presuming the sign must have some legitimate purpose.

But those of us who do not blindly follow authority would read it and conclude that the sign is a pork barrel "Sign To Nowhere", perhaps a symbolic representation of this bad Shakespearean play acting itself out, or perhaps a piece of art that is symbolic of current political propaganda (the number one product of MOMCOM).

In the first post of this series, just before the last "presidential" speech (a speech to placate with pabulum) to the nation, Dredd Blog opined:
The Script Of The Union, or SOTU, is going to once again try to pat little R and D on the head for doing such a good job this past decade of imperialism induced economic calamity.

But of course "the condition our condition is in" will not be called the era of criminal insanity, the era of no-accountability, the era of too big to jail, the era of federal, state, and local government insolvency, the age of homelessness, 10-25% unemployment, the age of ultimate environmental pollution, nor will it be called what it is: more propaganda of denial.
(The State of The Onion Script). Dylan Ratigan picked up on the saran wrap of the bad script in this bad play, pointing out:
President Obama is going to give a speech on reducing the deficit. And I hope he lays out specifics instead of working with the Republicans to spring a secret deal on the public at the last minute. We need a debate on debt and what it means.

We heard last week about the brinksmanship of the Democrats and Republicans, how they almost shut the government down due to partisan disagreements. But as with so much in Washington, the real story is one of insiders colluding against us, the public. Here's Assistant Leader Democrat Jim Clyburn on my show last Friday, after I asked him where that $40B in cuts was coming from:
"Speaker Boehner is a consummate legislator and he knows full well if he starts identifying the cuts those special interests out there who may feel threatened by them will rev up their friends here in the body and may cause him some pain and suffering. So I think he's right not to identify those cuts and just deal with the topline number. So I'd have to defend him on that."
Now that's the real story. Neither Democrats nor Republicans would let anyone know what the cuts were until the decision had been made. And why? Because if people had a chance to see what was on the chopping block, they might not like it. Clyburn pretended like it was only those mean special interests who would oppose cuts. But come on. We know the lobbyists made sure their favorite programs were preserved. They managed to sneak into the budget funding for a failed DC voucher program, funding for a private and public audit of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at the behest of the banks.

It's only we the people who weren't at the table.
(Dylan Ratigan). The purpose for the mealy mouthed speech of the president is to present a phony cover up of the reality that these bad actors have increased the war machine budget that is bankrupting the country; to cover up the reality that they have cut funds for the aged, the poor, and those who need help; and to cover up the reality that MOMCOM is responsible for all the economic wrongs.

The purpose of the MOMCOM media is to amplify MOMCOM's pseudo polemics as well as to give those toxic polemics a patina of credibility.

The media of MOMCOM will try to sell to the populace ideas the populace turned off long ago.

By and large the political figures and the media of the nation have lost their soul, their humanity, but they keep moving their lips to produce empty words as if the people have not noticed their infidelity.

What has been ignored by MOMCOM is that for almost a decade the large majority have told these creepy, criminally insane inhumane droids that we are going in the wrong direction.

These media droids (who have a built in boom box puking out these pseudo, toxic polemics) simply refuse to listen to the people because they think the people are ignorant.

They have misinformed the public on purpose to feed MOMCOM's own pseudo intellect and to make MOMCOM, the deceiver, feel superior to the people.

Sicko.

The International Language: Doublespeak.gov

The Japanese Prime Minister declares that things are "stabilizing" at the same time the Japanese Nuclear Regulators raise the nuclear disaster severity level there to seven, which is the highest it can be (it had been five).

In Indonesia, cigarette smoke is promoted as a cure for cancer.

Meanwhile here in the USA Ann Coulter says radiation is good for us.

One priest of propaganda, MOMCOM's father, who said propaganda is essential in order to "engineer democracy", would be so proud of his protégé for spreading his doctrine and dogma around the globe.

Globalization is just another word for spreading the spin meme complex to every nation around the world, so that all governments lie through their teeth (in a proper and sophisticated manner of course) to their people.

The propaganda organs who spread the word are the 1% who see the populace (the 99%) as beings inferior to them, beings who need MOMCOM management in order to be free, to be secure, and therefore to survive.

The realm of MOMCOM, which is the entire globe (all nations, all people, all resources) is segregated into USNORTHCOM, USPACOM, USSOUTHCOM, USEUCOM, USCENTCOM, and USAFRICACOM.

Yes, those six COM areas under the military tutelage of MOMCOM cover the entire Earth.

The recent "budget cuts" here in the USA, promoted as a halt to "excessive government spending", involved a 5% increase to obvious MOMCOM military programs.

It is even more than a 5% increase if you include the classified hidden budget, which you or I can't know because it is a "state secret" (it is for only the wise 1%).

Dredd Blog has talked in the past about the meaning of the bad word "government", as it is used in the MOMCOM media, including a discussion about how that meaning does not include MOMCOM.

It only includes the areas that the people are fed up with (the congress, the president, the courts) which someday MOMCOM plans to eliminate then replace with MOMCOM organs, so as to "save democracy".

MOMCOM is preaching that bad "government" is spending too much on Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, unemployment, education, health care, unions, etc., but is not spending enough on the military.

So the wasteful congressional spending on Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, unemployment, education, health care, unions, etc., was cut or else "the government" would have been shut down.

The military spending was increased, which illustrates the point that bad "government" spending does not include the military.

In doublespeak, the language of the rulers, a "strong military" now means a world dominated by a military empire, but to the populace it is sold as "security".

That is the W direction we are following, because the peak of the oil wars is ahead of us, while the beginning of the oil wars is behind us.

The graph shows military spending at 58%, but that does not include mercenaries (contractors) or the spy endeavors associated with military operations.

The Dream Ceiling Is A Nightmare

The doublespeak engines of MOMCOM are all "lets talk about the ceiling" now that we are into a new phase of the same thing (doublespeak).

This bad Shakespearean Play is framed as The Sky Is The Ceiling vs. I Want Everyone To Bend Over When They Walk In My Bank, or "the low ceiling vs. the high ceiling."

This discussion is condescending as usual in the sense that it seems to be directed toward those who neither understand debt or its function in a society.

Are they talking to themselves again?

The function of debt, or financing, or borrowing, is to invoke servitude.

Good servitude or bad servitude, but servitude non-the-less.

James Baker was on a talking spin head program this weekend telling the moderator that "we" are broke, the "we" being the 98% of the nation, not the 2% he comes from.

That is another way of saying "you" (98%) have to borrow some more money from "us" (the rich 2%) and say we got it from "China".

The ancient copy of Proverbs, scattered amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls, has a saying that translates into American English as "The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."

Holy servitude bat man.

Judiasm, Islam, and Christianity all include Proverbs in their list of holy books, and the high priests of capitalism for the most part think that is the only commandment, so they pray prey about it all the time.

The American Dream is about limiting the greed of the rich that are ruling over the poorer than them, so the poor can dream about MOMCOM freedom, since that is the only freedom on the table, all the while calling it something else:
With doublespeak, banks don't have "bad loans" or "bad debts"; they have "nonperforming assets" or "nonperforming credits" which are "rolled over" or "rescheduled." Corporations never lose money; they just experience "negative cash flow," "deficit enhancement," "net profit revenue deficiencies," or "negative contributions to profits."
(Etiology of Social Dementia). When "the ruled-over" get all rogue and mavericky to think about other types of freedom, wars break out, star spangled banners propagate like flies, bombs burst in air, and patronizing patriotic speeches of rhetoric flood the airwaves.

The debt ceiling is seen, in this context, as the populace loosing a bit more freedom, but MOMCOM assures us more freedom is budgeted to be available next quarter.

In the old world of balanced budgets, debt is managed:
A major goal of governmental financial reporting is assessing financial performance, that is, how well the government is doing with the money entrusted to it. From the standpoint of making judgments about the performance of government funds and government finance, the financial reports are a good place to start. These reports can provide a considerable amount of the information for gauging financial compliance, success, and health. Governmental and nonprofit accounting both use the concept of fund accounting. In fund accounting, the entity is divided into subsets or “funds” each with its own self-balancing set of accounts.
(Debt Service Funds). The academicians present a system whereby debt is managed in a responsible way, indicating that debt is not the same as insolvency.

Meanwhile the wild-eyed self-righties bloviate the opposite in the ongoing harangues-without-ceilings masking as adult debates.

They forget that we all know that insolvency happens only when the debt service requirements can no longer be met by the stream of incoming "money" (wages, salaries, retirement funds for we working people, our tax dollars for the government).

The plunder barons of MOMCOM are sooooo good that they destroyed our economy, are sooooo good that they bailed themselves out with our money, and are soooo good that they need to argue in front of us about how they are going to do business as usual, but will call it something else as usual.

Bob Dylan Sings In "China"

The self-righteous (self-rightie) journalists are in mob mode because Bob Dylan "sold out" by singing songs in China, following Chinese government censorship that would not let him play certain of his songs.

Those journalist self-righties here in "China" are like those righties in China, they do not understand Dylan's lyrics.

As I understand it, Bob was allowed to sing at least “Hard Rain", “Desolation Row”, “All Along the Watchtower”, as well as the most popular rock song of all time so far, "Like A Rolling Stone".

I suppose the self-rightie journalists here in "China" think those young folk who buy Bob Dylan's albums will only listen to the songs on those albums which the China censors allowed him to play?

They won't listen to any other songs they bought?

Here are some lyrics from the songs he sang there for those who have ears to hear what he was saying:
Oh, what’ll you do now, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, what’ll you do now, my darling young one?
I’m a-goin’ back out ’fore the rain starts a-fallin’

I’ll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest

Where the people are many and their hands are all empty

Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters

Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison
Where the executioner’s face is always well hidden
Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten
Where black is the color, where none is the number
And I’ll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it
Then I’ll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin’
But I’ll know my song well before I start singin’
And it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
It’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

(Hard Rain)

Now at midnight all the agents

And the superhuman crew

Come out and round up everyone
That knows more than they do

Then they bring them to the factory
Where the heart-attack machine

Is strapped across their shoulders

(Desolation Row)

All along the watchtower,
princes kept the view

While all the women came and went,
barefoot servants, too

Outside in the distance
a wildcat did growl

Two riders were approaching,
the wind began to howl

(All Along The Watchtower)

The self-righties won't get it no matter in which "China" he sings "I’ll know my song well before I start singin’" ...

He also sang the one about self-rightie exceptionalist journalists who live in empires but they don't know that the empire is going down (Like A Rolling Stone) or warn the people to try to change things for the better before it is too late.

I am glad it was a sell out
if you know what I mean
now Absolutely Sweet Marine ...

Evidently Dylan also sang Ballad of a Thin Man, which is a criticism of journalists who do not know what is going on.

The New Yorker be knowin' in the wind.
